NiP ease past BuyKey into final

Ninjas in Pyjamas will lock horns with VeryGames in the grand final of the AMD Sapphire CS:GO Invitational following a 2-0 victory over BuyKey in the semi-finals.

The first map of the tie was de_nuke_ve, where NiP began on the Terrorist side. Despite the fact that it is widely regarded as a CT map, it was NiP who came out the brighter, winning the opening three rounds of the match. BuyKey then managed to get a round of their own, Pierre "NpK" Henkinet's well-timed grenade taking down the last two NiP men.

The French side added one more round to their tab, reducing the deficit to 3-2, but then NiP regained control of the match and were able to secure a promising 10-5 lead at the break, despite BuyKey's reaction in the latter stages of the first half.

BuyKey got dangerously close to NiP after the interval, winning the first three rounds to make it 10-8, but the Swedish side kept their cool and upped the pace to win the map 16-8.

f0rest's NiP march on to the final

Having won the knife round on de_dust2_se, BuyKey opted to start on the highly-favoured Terrorist side, but their push onto A in the pistol round was easily stopped by NiP's rotating players, who took control of the bombsite after the bomb had been planted. While on eco in the second round, BuyKey were able to plant, which gave them just enough money to make a full buy in the third round.

However, the move did not pay off, as BuyKey were not able to hold down the bombsite, this time B, even with the bomb planted. The Swedes were now in the driving seat, eventually taking the score to 5-0, but then the Frenchmen realised just how poorly NiP were defending A and took three rounds in a row by pushing catwalk.

At this stage, NiP looked not as sharp as during the first few rounds, with BuyKey reducing the deficit to 6-5, but once the Swedish team took a more aggressive approach, they were simply far too hot to handle, switching to the Terrorist side with a 10-5 lead in their hands.

In the pistol round, NiP opted for a long push, and even though things looked rather bleak for them as they were unable to enter A, Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg saved the day with two long-range Desert Eagle kills in a one-on-two situation. After losing the second round as well, BuyKey went for a partial buy, with scouts and other weapons of that kind, and they took the Swedes by surprise and pulling one round back.

But that was as far as they went, with NiP completely taking control of proceedings as Terrorists to win the map 16-6 and move on to the tournament decider, where they will tackle VeryGames for a fourth time.

It really can't be random when NiP and VeryGames always end up in the final. It would be random when unknown teams end up being in the final.

Explain why it's "random" - You seem to have no clue as most of the HLTV kids..

Who cares about clue, It's just ...random. Some people aren't happy without saying it 'random'. So it is definitely random. xD

You actually know what the word "random" means? "Randomness means different things in various fields. Commonly, it means lack of pattern or predictability in events."
