Video: GuardiaN vs k1ck

The fourth highlight from AMD Sapphire Invitational LAN tournament in Czech Republic. Ladislav "Guardian" Kovács from team myDGB makes four sniper kills against Portuguese k1ck players.

Kovács was defending A that round, and he was looking short from the long. He saw two flashes coming from the short, so he knew that at least one player is going to show up. After Kovács turned back from the flashes, he managed to catch and shoot the terrorist, who was falling down to the CT base. After that kill, he moved back to the long to help his teammate deal with two more enemies. Kovács then eliminated the fourth k1ck player from the platform just after he had planted the bomb.

I understand and respect that people have several opinions about every game, but to be honest I don't really get why you don't like CS: GO. You've probably liked Counter-Strike for the past decade, and now you've stopped supporting it, because it has got a bright future? Unfortunately for all of us Counter-Strike lovers, CS: Source never really made it, even though that would've made FPS more entitled within the eSports franchise. We should all step up the game, watch the streams, play the game and support of idols throughout their time playing amongst the very best. I know a lot of you guys are fans of the former Golden Five, SK, Fnatic, Na`Vi or even the Finns from WinFakt! so, why not suppor them in their new adventure? It's still the same players, persons and individuals, that play their arses off to entertain you through a videogame. F0rest, GeT_RiGht or Xizt from Ninjas in Pyjamas has only changed in two ways: they've somehow become better players with more motivation to play their A-Game constantly, and they've become a lot more professional towards their sponsors and fans. I am a Sourcer(a noob if you'd call it that), but I've always had the right respect towards 1.6 and I've always known that I have played the minor game for the past four-five years now, whilst following and supporting some of the best players in Scandinavia money-wise at the same time. Please guys, stop being ignorant towards the future of Counter-Strike; it has never been this bright - support and respect the game, I can not command you to love it. - By the way, I am sorry it feels like I am offending you, which I am not, this is just in general :-D

It's hard to like and follow a game you don't enjoy playing. People aren't being ignorant, they just have higher standards for the future of FPS e-Sports. I think everyone can agree that GO isn't as good as we anticipated, but we are all making do because it could be the future.

I understand what you mean, and I respect it. Even though a lot don't like the game, they can still show their support towards their (former?) idols in both organizations and players. Of course, not liking the game makes that a lot harder, but why does that make them to spam various sites with "1.6 > GO" or something like "CSGO sucks" even though they think that. Some might say that 1.6 will return, but let's be real okay? It's not. For the other guys, I totally understand how you feel about the game, and that you don't enjoy playing nor watching the game(s). I really like the game myself, and I think that it really is a bright future for the Counter-Strike franchise, as it really is a decent game already this far. None of the previous Counter-Strike games has been this good this early in the making. I think that VALVe has done a great job making an ejoyable game for us to play. But you've got to give me right on this mate, that people are a bit ignorant towards the 1.6 > CS: GO in terms of the money, players and all that comes with a popular eSports title. 1.6 will NEVER come back, no matter how much you want it. Sorry for another wall of text, enjoy reading :D

Yeah there are a lot of ignorant people who are saying 1.6> just for the sake of it. But I do still think, even though I'm now playing GO, that 1.6 is a faaaar better game. I'm not going to go through threads saying "CSGO Sucks", but I will still say "The bomb planting sound on CSGO sucks" :D tl;dr: There is random trolls, but a lot of other people who moan about the game, are only doing it to get a better game overall. Meh, I'm rambling

You're not offending anyone :D But man, it's very hard to support a game you can't feel any ind of emotion while watching it, I feel completely bored watching the tournaments. It's not a senseless hatred, but we just can't see this game, can't feel this game like CS, you know, the emotion and excitement it brought us

The thing I enjoyed about 1.6 was that after I watched IEM or ESWC, I could hop into the game myself and play exactly like them. Not so true in GO, is it? They play on special maps, which arent in the GO matchmaking system. You only get the "dumbed" down maps with FOG(the thing I hate the most about this game).

That is annoying and hopefully Valve will eventually change that. Although the simple way to get around that is to either play mixes or use ESL Versus. Still is a shame that the in-game matchmaking maps are sucky :/

It's good, that this game works for You. I have nothing to play now, as 1.6 and quake are both dead and also as I turned 22, I should really, really put my interest onto something else. So I'm kinda glad that GO is such an unenjoyable game for me. You've got a nice attitude, the scene needs more of your sort.

there is an obvious difference first of all let me just say I dont like the constant nagging or GObashing by my fellow 1.6ers, its time to accept the future. so you are right in saying people should stop blindly crying out against CSGO however, you are ignorant if you do not see the huge difference in speed between CSGO awping clips or the fastscope nozoom shots 1.6 used to allow.

loved the booming sound of awp in 1.6, this on the other hand sounds like a scout. what a fail by valve. because that sound and presence of an awper like delpan/markel in enemy team was enough to strike fear in strongest of fraggers

Pro's play the games that make them the most money and sponsors need a game they can use as a focal point to sell peripherals/computers/etc... 1.6 could be run on a toaster oven and that isn't appealing to monitor makers/computer makers/video card makers etc...this is business of e-sports I come from playing the Quake games (Quakeworld - Q2 - Q3 - Q4 - QuakeLive). I am a fan of gaming and gaming at the high levels, watching CSS or 1.6 seems not alot different to me (spectator wise). CS:GO feels like a mix of Call of Duty and CS. I don't mind watching
