coloN steps in for Anexis

Former eSrael member Morten "coloN" Johansen has made the switch to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as he steps in for Anexis at Thor Open and NorthCon this month.

After being accused of cheating in ClanBase Nations Cup, Johansen proved he could play on LAN at Copenhagen Games and 3rd Intel Core Challenge by Inferno Online.

Johansen continued playing Counter-Strike 1.6 with the team later named Wikipediots, but they were unable to secure a sponsorship for DreamHack Bucharest and ASUS Final Battle of the Year after qualifying.

coloN is the next player to make the CS:GO switch

Following René "cajunb" Borg's decision to step down as a player due to enrolling in the military, Anexis were down a man with Thor Open looming just days ahead, and have decided to give Johansen a try.

According to Anexis' website, Johansen is not yet a permanent member of the team, but instead will act as a stand-in at Thor Open and NorthCon, after his performance is likely to be evaluated.

Johansen's for now temporary stay begins this weekend at Thor Open in Stockholm, where almost $20,000 is up for grabs. Anexis will then travel to Neumünster, Germany, where NorthCon will be held on December 14-15.

He never trashed the orga. He trashed the players in an interview - and it wasn't these players. It was the Anexis 1.6 division.

I won't argue with U 'cos' I can't find any proofs, but I remember quite clearly he posted a reply to someones question about the possibility of his transfer to Anexis, here on hltv.org, describing Anexis team and orga in...hmm not a polite manner. I won't tell what exactly he said, just not to discredit him here. I only know he is struggling to get some money/salary, so GL in new team. I think you misunderstand why most play computer games. For most it is about fun and being the best. You cannot exactly get rich by eSports or even make a living of it. So why even bother thinking that many struggle to get a salary? For coloN and all others trying to make it to the top I think it is about the prestige and acknowledgement that come with it. Salary is just a bonus. I bet coloN is struggling to show the scene of 1.6 and CS:GO that he is, in fact, one of the best players at the moment. It is not about money or salary as you so well express.

The first section in your comment about salaries and "making a living out of it" is definitely bullshit mate. Of course, a lot of players make a real living out of eSports and some might even get rich, in fact some are. Look at the fnatic players, they for sure make a living out of it because of all of their trips, their major sponsorhips, tournament prizes, the fnatic organization in a whole as well. But I agree, not everything is about to "make a living" out of eSports due to the fact that Danish players has a hard time doing so, and we are probably more "genuine" you'd say in our passion towards gaming all days and nights away - I don't want to be quoted on that, that is just my thoughts about it.

I shouldn't have said eSports, but CS:GO. I know some StarCraft 2 players and so on make a living of it. But no CS:GO players can make a living of the salary they get. And yes, with that comes trips, prizes and so on, but it is still not enough to make a living of it. The salary are low - and the prizes are low in correlation to what an average dane makes a month. It depends on what fnatic players you are talking about. At least their CS:GO/1.6 division is not making a living of it. But I can't speak for the other game divisions. But anyhow, it is indeed a good extra payment each month in audition to your studies or job.

it disgusts me how people accuse guy, who has never been caugh with cheats and have played amazingly well on lan, a cheater.... I guess 1.6 community really is as J.Miller said "childish and immature"

that's just a minority who thinks that colon cheated. most people think he didn't cheat but they don't post, just like me. btw, if joem says 1.6 community is childish, I think he would do the same or even worse with the css one (if someone ever knew about / played this game).

playing well on lan have nothing to do with cheats or not, cheaters that are hard to spot are the one that play good on lan ,not the noobs. about colon i havent folled him and the cheat accusing and all this, but what i know is online forest is a noob compared to lot of danish players

Good luck coloN to those who tells that coloN is cheating.. Please.. If u look at some of the pro players nowdays they have been cheating themselves.. Why don't anybody care about them and just about coloN when he joins up in a team when he have proven him self at lan several times.. Don't call me a fanboy..
