mouz.uk kicked from EMS

mousesports' UK-based team has been kicked from the ESL Major Series (EMS) for exceeding the league's penalty point limit.

mouz had only played two matches in the competition, a 16-2 victory against swissRAGE and a 16-4 defeat at the hands of Redzone.

After not showing up for two matches on Monday, the former CS:Source team was given two major penalty points, which resulted in their disqualification from the tournament.

RattlesnK is nowhere to be found

The team captained by Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn's team has not yet made any appearance since their sensational third/fourth place finish at DreamHack Winter, which earned them over $5,000.

Team GAMED.DE and k1ck are sharing the top of Group C on nine points, followed by swissRAGE, Redzone and myRevenge.

Besides mousesports, CodeRed, Anexis and FiNEST have all been disqualified from the EMS due to breaking the league's penalty point rule.

I very much doubt this'll affect mouz.uk's future under Mousesports. To be quite honest, they're doing better than mouz.de at the moment.

jonathan has a point. regardless of their performance, its very unprofessional for a team bearing a well known orgaisation's name to act in such a way without a genuine reason. if there is one, they should have told the organizers!

Some UK teams are still owed tons of money from the first couple of EPS UK seasons. Also, most of the former danish top players stopped competing in ESL because they never got payed. "Monopoly money" was a term actually used for the ESL prizemoney.

Mouz players had a lot of problems with ESL organisation (they didn't got paid for about 3 years for their EPS.uk, EMS and ENC winnings). Nobody gives a shit about EMS since everybody knows that the prize money is "fake" (VG didn't want to participate because of that, they won this competition 5 times and got paid 2-3 years after each time) So no, don't worry about mouz.uk, they won't get kicked by their org because of that

As said, as far as I see it the orga is more likely to care more than their players as dropping out this way isn't what they support a team for.

It's not a big deal really. EMS are pretty weak in terms of exposure and prizepot. I don't think the org cares that much but i might be wrong.

Not like they would care :P. Btw, if it was a number of teams being kicked from EMS, well known ones there too like Anexis, why is this just titled Mouz.uk kicked? Lol.

Probably because they are the latest and the others already have threads about them. It doesnt matter if they care about online or not. If you dont care dont sign up. They are unprofessionally representing Mousesports and making the organisation look like its being run by kids. Mouz have been one of the top organisations since when I first started playing cs (2001) and they have a long and proud history and these british guys from source seem to just act like kids (Its not just this but also ESWC Qualifier) And ive only started watching them since I switched over to CS:GO. I wonder what they were doing to the Mousesports name in Source.

The only thing they have done to the Mouz name is bring it back to the top of the scene. Clueless people talking about things they won't understand.

Top of the source scene? Dont make me laugh.. I'll tell you about source and this is the truth. The only people that played source (A cartoon, noob friendly version of CS) were those who couldnt make it in 1.6. Ive played the game and not hating but thats the truth of the matter. p0s, mOE, im guessing even this rattlesnake.. all these guys came from CS and they were nowhere. So they switched over to Source where they could be at the top of the "scene" (nice competition). This is why source has never got respect from CS players over the years. It never had any of the top level CS players switch over. It was all B-grade competition. p0s was CAL-p, mOE was I dont even know... CAL-m? Im just using these guys as examples but you get the idea. So when you come here saying that these guys have brought the Mouz name back to the top of the scene I can only assume you are talking about Source (I hope you are not holding onto their close losses in GO) which to me is quite funny.

Just a note: Mousesports never officially announced that prb and StingeR would be in their line-up, so DHW was merely a test event. They did very good, but it's not necessarily their new line-up the way I see it. Also, prb was playing for THOR in a mix the other day, doesn't look like their sticking together atm really.

Took 3 years to get our EPS UK prize money and even when they did, they paid it to the wrong person, who then did a runner with all the money instead of splitting it with the team.

Whatever the case, mouz.uk really showed promise and the potential to be at the top earlier. A disband would just mean, an easier road for NiP ahead.

I think the main problem with UK teams is the endless roster changes. If they can find some half decent org like 4kings and not fold for at least 3 months, I think this ex-mouz team might actually get somewhere
