NiP through to final over Lemondogs

Ninjas in Pyjamas have reached the Grand Final of THOR Open 2012 following a 2-0 victory over Lemondogs.

As certainly most had anticipated, NiP extended their impressive unbeaten run on LAN by beating the second-placed side from Group B to progress to the Grand Final, in which they will contest the first prize of 100,000 SEK (approximately $15,100) with Curse.

Things did not look bright for NiP at the start of the first map (de_nuke_ve), though, with Lemondogs taking the opening five rounds despite being on the Terrorist side, which is widely considered to be the weaker side on this map.

NiP then responded and bagged four rounds in a row, but as they were trying to even things out, Lemondogs won their sixth round of the game to take the scoreline to 6-4. The remaining five rounds of the first half then way NiP's way, as the DreamHack Winter champions completely shut down both bombsites to take a three-round lead into the second half.

Now on the Terrorist side, NiP enlarged their lead by winning the pistol round following a push onto the Lower website which Lemondogs could do nothing against. Three more rounds were added to NiP's tab, with the Swedish giants becoming just two rounds away from winning the map.

The score was now set at 14-6, and even though Lemondogs made a three-round run, that did little to stop NiP, who would go on to win the map 16-9.

GeT_RiGhT inspired NiP to a comfortable win

Map two, de_dust2_se, followed the exact same trend, with Lemondogs starting out the brighter and winning the claiming the first three rounds following a quick push onto Long in the pistol round.

The next five rounds went to NiP, who were now in the lead 5-3, and despite the fact that Lemondogs managed to pull one back, Richard "Xizt" Landström's troops remained in the driving seat as they secured a comfortable 11-4 lead at half-time.

On their Terrorist side, NiP remained in control of the match, leaving Lemondogs helpless thanks to a handful of perfectly carried out strategies as walked out 16-5 winners to progress to the tournament decider.

No comparing is not stupid ffs, same genre, even the same fucking name. They aren't counting tournaments per year for example, that would be stupid.

It's just to put it in comparison how amazing this feat actually is by NiP. That works perfectly fine.

Contrary to popular belief Nuke is not a CT sided map, T side can be very easy to take with properly executed tactics, thus why NIP fell behind..

hltv.org/?pageid=183&eventid=0&gameid=2 If it was "very easy" to properly execute tactics, I think the stats would show.
