ESL Major Series Winter Season 2012EMS reaches playoffs

The group stage of the ESL Major Series Winter 2012 has come to an end, and the 12 teams left have now entered the playoffs.
After a lengthy group stage involving 36 teams from across Europe, the top three from each group have now progressed to the playoffs, which will be played in a best-of-three format.
The four group winners, JAS, k1ck, eXtensive and Ninjas in Pyjamas have secured direct passage into the quarter-finals, with the last four places in this stage being contested by the remaining eight teams.
The EMS playoffs will run from November 22nd to December 19th, with the map choice for every match based on the veto system.
