ESC to final in Katowice over MFP

ESC managed to take down MaxFloPlay 2-0 (16-4 de_mirage_csgo, 16-9 de_nuke_ve) to advance to the grand final of Your road to Katowice, a side CS:GO tournament held at IEM Katowice.

Filip "NEO" Kubski's side started the match by winning the opening pistol round as terrorists on de_mirage_csgo, clearly not affected by the long delays in Katowice. MaxFloPlay stood no chance as they fell down 0-5 early.

Strong terrorist play, which has been the Poles' bread and butter since their early years in Counter-Strike 1.6, continued wearing their opposition down as Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski clutched a one-on-two situation to make it 6-0.

Adam "Adamsk1" Masnik put MaxFloPlay on the board two rounds later by winning a one-on-two of his own, but it didn't help much as ESC kept breaking MFP's money on the way to a 12-3 half time lead.

MaxFloPlay's bombsite B attack got shut down in their terrorist pistol round, but Szymon "prv" Wilman's one-on-two on their second round force buy gave the challengers some life as ESC were forced to save.

Despite killing Cybulski, who had purchased a shot gun, early on the round, ESC still won the save round with pistols. Two rounds later they clinched the map with a score of 16-4, as Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas scored four frags in the middle.

NEO & co showed good form versus MaxFloPlay in a 2-0 win

Second map de_nuke_ve started with MaxFloPlay scoring the first three rounds as terrorists, before their quick upper attack was shut down on round four. Next round was won by Kubski's four kill heroics, and MFP's save round tied it at three.

Next few rounds were traded as MaxFloPlay managed to score their fifth round, but ESC's team play and individual skill overwhelmed the young Poles from there on out, finishing the half with a 10-5 score.

Kubski scored three kills with Dual Berettas on the second half pistol round, and despite MFP's force buy, that allowed his team to go up 13-5. ESC's Cybulski was unable to win round four, but they struck back quickly.

ESC won the next round to give themselves as 14-6 lead, but MFP didn't give up as they managed to string three weapon rounds together on their counter-terrorist side to cut ESC's lead to 14-9.

It wouldn't last for long however, as another one-on-one win by ESC allowed them to gain match point, which they didn't waste as they clinched the map 16-9, and the series 2-0 overall.

The second semi-final between myDGB.net and ALSEN will start as soon as the two are setup. Third place decider is scheduled to take place at 17:30 and final at 19:30 , although the event is running slightly behind schedule.

Usually statistics are not that important in a game but... he's good. On the other hand i saw a french gamer with 70% in an official game, and it wasn't ScreaM.
