CPLAY announce disbandment
CPLAY captain Allan "Rejin" Petersen has confirmed that the team's players have decided to go their separate ways.
The Danish team raised eyebrows when they finished fourth at NorthCon last month, but after that impressive campaign they were forced to undergo a roster change as Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth opted to further his career in fnatic.
CPLAY then turned to Danni "smF" Dyg, a former member of Copenhagen Wolves, but their results in Gaming.dk's CS:GO league have been far from impressive, as the team sit seventh in the table, with nine points from eight matches.
Petersen has now decided to put an end to the team, citing the disappointing results and the lack of commitment from some of the players as the reasons for this move.
"I feel that we have not accomplished enough," he told Xplayn.com. "There have also been some internal problems. We remain good friends, I hope.
"I get mad when people do not do as I say, or are not online on time. The lack of commitment from certain people has made me lose my motivation and turned me into a bitter old man.
"I need a fresh start. I am very motivated and ready to play a lot of CS. I think that I belong to the top, so I will be back.
"However, I would really like to get away from calling to get a role as a support player of fragger. So we will see what time will bring."
CPLAY had the following lineup:
Allan "Rejin" Petersen
Ian "ANKK" Møller
Kevin "KSkevin" Svenningsen
Kasper "KeR" Ronicke
Danni "smF" Dyg
