Yea, I also interpreted that match as a one-off, adren has been consistenly good for so long and hobbit being underwhelming happens very rarely. All that along with neo of all people to have a monster game... Then the things that have to go right for them to beat FaZe... I can't even start listing it.. FaZe got the skill, map advantage, the confidence, if they start rolling I think its just going to be over. My theory is that Gambit were way overconfident. The day before, VP played SK in the afternoon. After the stomp, they rested and put their heads into next match watching the FAZE vs GAMBIT game. Then they did their researches while Gambit finished their game in the evening, went to eat and I guess they were very confident after almost beating FAZE. So I think they didnt do any researches on VP, maybe they even took a beer and enjoy their performance while VP were already in that game. And even the day of the VP vs Gambit game, during some maps Gambit were way too overcondifent as soon as they had an advantage. So I think all in all, we are talking about professionalism right there.

#36 easiest call ever, thank for the amazing odds once again <3 FaZe is not a real team and never was, they just had their honeymoon period and lucky match ups plus tier 1 teams have been struggling or didn't attent events at all SK, Virtus Pro, G2 - those are the real teams of cs go and legends that don't buy new international players every month just to catch their opponents off guard. At their peak they would never lose to nobodies like FaZe :)

Understand old style CS is not aim duels except for Fanatic Era. They play angles and try to out think the opponents, i.e. Get Right. The modern trade out aim duel meta is why the old players lose. If you actually listen to the other pro's Niko and Guardian were saying last week that a lot of IGL's study VP tactics and apply them to there newer styles. VP isn't bad - except on CT retakes - but they haven't embraced the new meta yet.
