If I had to take a guess, Boston major 2018. NiKo forced karrigan to pick overpass in that final and they lost it. As for huNter he never played overpass.

Just checked and he did. Had a total of 12 games on it in G2 between 19/10/19 vs Navi and 23/10/20 vs Godsent which is the last time he played it. He also had 1 game on Crazy vs Mousesports, 5 on Valiance, and 1 on iNation. So all 5 have played pro games on the map and they still won't play it over vertigo Sadge.

OK, but considering numbers in total, the percentage of played Overpass throughout his pro career is incredibly small. He is a team captain and he is a shot-caller outside the game. Although, I must agree. He plays lurking roles similar to Ropz and map like Overpass creates so many opportunities for a player like hunter- and I find it hard to believe that he would be uncomfortable in it. My guess is that nexa didn't wanna call it as IGL because it is very hard to anchor it on CT by himself while his men are let loose across entire map which is in metric system biggest in the pool.

lolwat. All of the seedings are based on the finishing order of both the RMR's that were just done and the Rio major final results. G2 as 5th in group had a higher Bucholz score than BNE as 5th in other group, therefore they get 9th EU seed, which was 11th place finish at Rio (or 3rd in Challengers). Mongolz were 2nd in Asia, which was 22nd in Rio (or 14th in Challengers). Literally as textbook according to the predetermined rules as it comes. IF (big if, especially given RMR results) all high seeds win all matches, they would get Apeks as 1-0 match (3rd vs 6th seed) and Pain as 2-0 match (2nd vs 3rd seed). The reason you can have that predictor to begin with is that the seeding is done before the teams are known. There's literally no subjectivity to it at all.
