However, half of the teams here are already qualified for the world finals, and the team most likely to win, faze, is already qualified there as well. If that is the case, would it just go to the highest placing team of NIP, C9, AST and COL or is there some kind of additional point system in place?

There is a point system in place that would be used: liquipedia.net/counterstrike/BLAST/Premi.. At this point Astralis are first in line for the invite, but Cloud 9 could potentially surpass them without winning the event. I think Complexity or NiP would have to outright win the event to get the invite.
