NiP vs NiP showmatch at IOS

Confused by the title? No need to be. Inferno Online is celebrating yet another milestone in its history with a showmatch between Ninjas in Pyjamas' current team and the one that represented the organisation back in 2005.

Inferno Online is celebrating its expansion to a second LAN center in Södermalm, a district in central Stockholm, and has come up with a great idea to keep every eSport enthusiast glued to the screen on Saturday.

There will be a showmatch, played in both 1.6 and CS:GO, between NiP's current team, without a doubt the number-one side in the world right now, and the one that played for the organisation in 2005.

HeatoN to put his game face on again

We are talking about players that made history in Counter-Strike, such as Emil "HeatoN" Christensen, Tommy "Potti" Ingemarsson and Marcus "zet" Sundström.

The showmatch will be played on Saturday and will be streamed by NiPTV's own Anders Blume, joined by Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat from the GD studio. The starting time of this contest will be revealed later this week.

friberg played only _some_ 1.6 before going full-blood sAucer. We played some playnation tho so he isn't that unfamiliar with the game.

That may be true, but you can't compare the amount of practice both teams have. I remember Heaton saying in an interview that it would take him at some 6 months training like a madman to reach a good competitive level. You guys should probably win both games, but then again it's a showmatch so nobody really cares. It would be fun to see you guys doing some epic eco stacks and stuff like that. Have fun!

It's also very wierd being used to the CS:GO mechanics. One would be better off not playing 1.6 for a year than playing GO for a year, in terms of 1.6 skill.

Doubt it the amount of time they put in Go they will feel very strange going back to 1.6 i tried 1.6 a few weeks back after playing count less hours of cs go only and 1.6 felt extremely weird

I guarantee you both have played 1.6, regardless they practice aiming which is something that none of the players from the 2005 lineup do anymore. INB4 f0rest drops 40 in 1.6 and gtr drops 40 in CSGO.

Fisker was benched when NiP came back (iirc the line-up was Hyper, vilden, Potti, HeatoN and ahl); zet only joined NiP after a (failed) experiment with the late Bullen and miniw

Oh right, completely forgot about him. That didn't last very long though, still not good enough of a reason to include Source. I can't see how the involved players would even be interested in playing that particular version. These two Counter-Strikes were chosen for a reason. He clearly says that he will wait. Which means, if you are aware of how time-space works, he will wait till 20:00, when the match starts. Ergo - the correct use of "I will wait" as in "I will wait for this match". Granted, "I can't wait" is correct as well and the only unacceptable form would be "I will not wait". Your understanding of a term "I will wait" as something you don't care about is wrong. If I'll stand on the train station, waiting for a train and I will say "I will wait", does it mean I don't give a fuck about the train? Nope. It means I will wait for the train to come. So, feel free to smoke me some more, pumpkin.

I think the 1.6 game can be close imo, cuz f0rest, get_right and xizt haven't touched 1.6 for over a year. While the old NiP have been playing playnation ladder in 1.6 after go was released pretty much, at least before. This match is going to be amazing. It may be easy for NiP '13 in CS:GO, but 1.6 will be I think pretty much balanced since '13 didn't play it since GO scene came out.
