VG beat NiP for MSI Beat it spot

VeryGames defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas to secure the first European spot at the MSI Beat it World Finals in China in November.

It took VeryGames 16 matches to beat NiP, but they finally did it: the French giants, one of the most successful teams in the history of CS:Source, outdid their CS:GO arch-rivals in the last-four stage of the MSI Beat it! 2013 European Finals.

It was a one-sided game, which will come as a shock to only a few people, given NiP's recent online results (14-16 defeat to k1ck and close victories against Astana Dragons and CPLAY).

On de_inferno_se, neither side really stood out in the first half as VeryGames picked up a narrow 8-7 lead at the break. However, in the second half the French side were simply too hot to handle, giving their opponent no chance as they walked away with a 16-8 victory.

16th time was the charm for VeryGames

The map that followed was de_mirage_ce, where VG picked up a comfortable 10-5 lead while playing on the CT side. NiP always looked to be on the back foot and they had little chance against the Frenchmen, who ran out 16-7 victors to assure themselves of a place at the MSI Beat it Finals in China.

 VeryGames K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating1.0
44 - 26 +18 - - 1.50
47 - 32 +15 - - 1.36
35 - 26 +9 - - 1.21
31 - 23 +8 - - 1.08
31 - 29 +2 - - 0.97

 Ninjas in Pyjamas K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating1.0
33 - 33 0 - - 0.99
32 - 39 -7 - - 0.87
29 - 38 -9 - - 0.78
25 - 39 -14 - - 0.66
17 - 39 -22 - - 0.45

n!faculty and Lemondogs will contest on Monday the second European place at the MSI Beat It finals, a match that is scheduled to start at 20:00 .

at least when i was in china i didnt have exhausting experience at all, and had SEC in Poland the next day, but mby it's just me. anyway my point is that they should be on a perfectly normal state at dreamhack and if they fail, "jetlag" would just be an excuse :p

Do you even understand the time difference between China and France? Are you retarded of course you can have jetlag for 3-4 days. It all depends on the person, just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't to other people. "I bet you a saucer" typical retard comment, you just make yourself look like a fucking retard by saying that.

Dude, he is the IGL (in game leader) he shouldnt top the scoreboard, besides you should know he's work from the team. He makes sure everyones minds is "right" he makes sure the strats work. If u ask me I think he does more then anyone in VG. But thats just my opinion.

Usually you're right, but Ex6 was behind till recently at this number, he clearly improved himself aimwise recently. And another exception is when one has few but crucial frags - not the case here I reckon.

This loss hits hard in my opinion. NiP wont have a Chance to win the 10.000 Dollars at the Finals in China. But on the other side, this loss was a warning for NiP. They will practice hard now for sure. Just imagine they would lose the DHW. Don't wanna know the outcome of this...

I don't think NiP were too bothered about this tourney. They've won virtually every CS:GO LAN ever. Another ~10k tourney isn't really much of a motivator for them in terms of either cash or prestige. They have nothing to prove at those LANs anymore really. Particularly with an 100k 1st prize pot at DH:W coming up. Haven't seen them as fired up about a LAN in a long time. NiP are going to be scary good at DH:W if you ask me.

Did you watch the game? It was such an obvious throw that it was funny. NiP are focusing all their effort on DH:W and don't want to deal with jetlag and mental fatigue before the tourney starts. Yes, 10k for NiP really isn't a big deal. It is for every org except AD (millionaire guy sponsoring) and NiP. (Won everything) 10k would just be another footnote for them.

If you think about it, MSI Beat It is 3 days before Dreamhack Winter, and traveling from Sweden to China takes about 10 hours~, and China is 6:0 hours ahead of Sweden, so the potential for severe jetlag is there and that is a big threat. And then using strats and losing time for a good bootcamp are two other factors that you need to think about, and the $10,000 prize winnings for MSI Beat It covers the travel expenses and a little more but not much for six people that would go, so losing this match is a blessing in disguise or maybe even intentional.

dreamhack.se/dhw13/esport/csgo/ fnatic.com/content/95681 No. It's 5 days before DH which is more than enough to get rid of the jet lag. Moreover, NiP is already used to travelling. It won't make any difference whatsoever for them if they have 10-12 hours jet lag. And if you remember, NiP had one busy month (April-May) in the summer this year where they went from one country to another and they still managed to get first place at all tournaments they attended. So, to say that they lost on purpose in order to avoid jet lag is a very bullshit excuse I must say.

coL took a map from NiP @esealan, and they just joined coL (more motivation) and now they have 2 months to practice much as they can, why they wouldnt get a match against NiP? VG - Nip have always rolled VG on lan, but the score dsnt tell the full story, VG have always played bad against NiP but still they got so skilled players and when they have their A-Game i think they can beat NiP@lan. LD - Didnt u watch DH Bucharest, they played well and Delpan is getting to his level , i just think they can surprise any team.

VG had tons of opportunities to beat NIP! They finally made it! Well deserved! NIP is more like a 4 superstars + 1 little bro ; VG is so much balanced ...

finally.... COMPETITION! :) I like NiP, but it was getting quite boring that they simply won every match... Now it's getting more interesting to watch pro-games in my opinion :) gg VG
