Gfinity LAN with $30k prize purse
Gfinity has announced that it will hold an event in the United Kingdom with up to $30,000 up for grabs in the CS:GO tournament.
Gfinity has been very busy of late trying to break into the competitive scene and is currently organising a professional league featuring cash prizes of $7,500 and some of Europe's strongest sides.
It has now been confirmed that Gfinity is moving on to organising a major LAN event, which will take place from May 24th to 25th at the 7,000-seated Copperbox Arena at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
There will be five games (Call of Duty: Ghosts, CS:GO, DotA 2, StarCraft II and Fifa 14) being played at the event, for a combined prize purse of $175,000. HLTV.org knows that at least $30,000 will be allocated to the CS:GO tournament.
There will be invitational and open qualifiers for the British event. More information about these tournaments will be revealed during the coming days.
Spectator tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 24th, priced at £22 per day.
