shox wins Fragbite Play of the Day

Richard "shox" Papillon has claimed both of the top two finishes for Fragbite's Play of the Day competition, netting him 25,000 SEK (~$3,860).

The vote was open for two days with a total of sixteen actions nominated, one per each play day in Fragbite Masters 2014, which culminated in dignitas beating Titan in the grand final.

According to Fragbite the fifth place in the vote, which went to Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, gained over three times as many votes as the sixth place. Papillon's two clips gathered 45% of all votes.

Rounding up the four players featured in the highlight reel, which you can watch below, are NiP's Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Virtus.pro's Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas.

Winning 25,000 SEK personally, combined with his share of Titan's 30,000 SEK winnings, means Papillon is easily the biggest benefactor in Fragbite Masters 2014.

I read that they won't get the full amount of the moneys prize won, but this is like a personal record for the players, so I guess that he will received all the credit and money from it.

It's the opposite actually. But not many of them deserve a highlight, that's why you won't see a lot in these compilations. Here the fact that the ninja was attempted just after the plant and taking advantage of the opponent's smoke is what made it noticeable.

Nice but I think it's kind of silly to equate a prize that significant (relative to tournament winnings) to a single play. If any single player should be rewarded, it should be for something that demonstrates skill and consistency, like a tournament MVP award.
