CS Nexon: Zombies announced

Valve, in collaboration with Nexon, has announced that a new game in the Counter-Strike franchise is coming to Steam before the end of the year.

South Korean company Nexon, the developer behind Counter-Strike Online, a game targeted at the Asian market, is coming back with a new game in the highly-popular FPS series, this time featuring zombies.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombie is a free-to-play game that will be released in the West in the third quarter of the year. It will be available in six languages: English, German, French, Italian, Polish, and Russian.

Besides the new zombie-based experience, which promises "fast-paced, frenetic action awaits", according to Nexon, there will also be traditional game modes, such as Hostage Rescue and Bomb Diffusion.

"Today we are announcing the latest creation from Nexon in the Counter-Strike world, one that builds upon years of success in developing CS Online for Asia," said Valve marketing director Doug Lombardi of Valve.

"This title showcases that work in new, zombie, and classic form."

Below you can find a video of the Zombie mode for CS Online 2, which should give you a good idea of what you can expect from CS Nexon: Zombie.

Some Asians ( i come from Singapore) are incredibly stupid. They go for free-to-play games because its free, then end up spending on the overpowered cash guns which provides faster fire rate or shit like that. Some spend up to 1000 dollars on these crappy games that doesn't even have MM function and uses Peer to Peer network (to enjoy horrible tick rates and practically make server cost non-exsistent for more profit). Asian FPS Scene is such a joke lmao. Valve should promote cs:go in Asia instead of getting Nexon to create cs:pay to win

What's your source on this? I can't find anything on Steam, Valve or Nexon websites about it. This doesn't seem like being something that Valve would want their name to be associated with, and that quote from Doug Lombardi seems odd. It looks like it's just a regular mod, nothing more than that. How official is the announcement and the game? Edit: Seems like this news originated from a single Eurogamer article that also doesn't cite any sources.
