Mobility seek new orga for ESWC

Mobility-Gaming's team are looking for an organisation to be able to attend the ESWC finals in Paris.

The Canadian team made headlines when they earned a spot at the ESWC finals after finishing runners-up to iBUYPOWER at the North American qualifier, which was held last month at Théâtre Telus, in Montreal.

Recently, HLTV.org reported that Mobility Gaming's team had turned to crowdfunding in a bid to raise the $8,000 USD required to attend the event in France, from October 29th to November 2nd.

Mobility Gaming's team seek new organisation

However, the team were able to raise little over 1/8 of that figure, which has forced the players to look for a new organisation that is financially stronger in order to be able to compete overseas.

"After a year of playing under Mobility Gaming, our roster has decided that we will be parting ways with this organization," team member Peter "stanislaw" Stanislaw told HLTV.org.

"We are actively seeking a new organization who wishes to be represented by an upcoming team in the international counter-strike scene.

"A clause in our contracts will allow us to discuss potential sponsorships with other organizations, but we will remain under the name Mobility Gaming until an official agreement has been reached with another party.

"We’d like to thank everyone from Mobility Gaming, especially Sober, who has been incredibly supportive of us over the past year. However, in order to progress as a roster, we feel that we need an organization that can support our goal of attending international events on a regular basis.

"In October, we will be participating in the ESWC Finals in Paris and we will do our best to make a name for ourselves."

The Canadian team, who currently sit second in ESEA Premier on a 7-1 record, can be contacted by interested organisations by e-mail at [email protected].

Mobility Gaming's lineup is the following:

Canada Jake "SIDOF" Currie
Canada Peter "stanislaw" Stanislaw
Canada David "Davey" Stafford
United States Matt "stryder" Brown
United States Addison "zecK" Gorzeck

Well... i know that they want to be better and get experience in ESWC, but they need to deserve a org that support it, they didn't even reached the first step that would be qualify for CEVO-P.

I had to ring for mobility in the placement tournament because their 5th couldn't make it & the other team (saphire) wouldn't reschedule for them. I didn't play well, i'm not on their level & having a ringer throws you off as a team/unit. I'm sure if they had their 5, they would've made it into CEVO-P easily. This team deserves support. They really can beat all the other "invite teams" besides C9/iBP at any time imo. They just need the experience. NA can have a 3rd good international team, but it can't be filled with the same recycled invite players. Half of them are too toxic and their teams fail over time. It has to be fresh, and these guys have the skill to be that. Give your money to them. Now

They are a top ESEA-Premier team though and are strong contenders to be invite next season. They almost took a map from iBP on LAN as well while trolling the whole time, which is apparently just their style according to some friends of mine that scrim them occasionally.

I guess nearly taking a map from IBP is good enough to get an org to send them to France so they almost can win a map.

I thought that the owner of the qualifier had to pay for the teams. This includes plane, hotel entrance fee. So there are special rules for the American qualifier?

the reason the crowd funding isn't gonna work is cause no one is gonna donate to a team thats gonna get recked. they got beat by iBP, and iBP got fucked hard in Cologne, so i dont expect much from mobility in paris....

while everyone is sitting here bashing mobility, do you all not remember the last ESWC?? where clan.mystik aka rands by hltv's standards were basically thrashed the same as mobility currently are and oh look they won the entire tournament. not saying they'll win the event, but don't count them out just because you don't know them.
