k1ck eSports Club have announced that they have bolstered their squad with the addition of Bruno "riis3d" Melo.

The Portuguese team were last seen on LAN at DreamHack Valencia, where they came in fourth place after losing to eventual winners LDLC.com in the semi-finals.

With the Iberian ESWC qualifier taking place in just three weeks' time, k1ck were forced to look for a new player as Rui "⁠SHOUW⁠" Reis stepped down from the team because he lacked the time to practice on a regular basis.

SHOUW leaves k1ck

Replacing the Portuguese veteran is madjicK's Bruno "riis3d" Melo, who is regarded in Portugal as an up-and-coming talent.

"First of all, I would like to thank k1ck for this great opportunity, since this will undoubtedly be a great challenge," he said.

"I am sure I will do my best to prove my worth. I would also like to thank madjicK, who supported me in this new challenge and who played a key role in my growth."

With these changes, k1ck now have:

LOL , you speak like you know the situation in Portugal , its hard to keep the competitive scene in our country because we dont have much support like other major esports countrys but in other hand , we are one of the countries with more people playing CSGO because we like the game, but the life is hard dude , we cant dedicate 100% of our lives playing the game , k1ck bootcamp when they can , and they pratice a lot. I belive that we can play in a higher level , but that takes time and pratice

no, I just gave 5 countries with better teams than Portugal, in nowhere did you see me say that Portugal is #6 on my list. I just gave 5 examples, could actually write more countries with better teams, but only looking at sweden and france, you can select 5 or more teams better than k1ck, so yeah..

he was never in K1CK's CS:GO squad, not until he joined them. They have their core 3/4 players since the beggining of competitive CS:GO (they were a bit late to the party, as a team though).

When k1ck team plays online with European Teams, they have alot of ping, on lans they can do beat some professional teams... If they practice with big teams, maybe they are top10/top5... But, on Portugal, playing on Sweden/Germany/Netherlands servers, they have worst ping than ohter team...
