Maxaki: "emilio cheated at CPH G."

Team Orbit member Andreas "Maxaki" Andersson has revealed that Joel "emilio" Mako cheated at Copenhagen Games 2012.

Joel "⁠emilio⁠" Mako has been the target of much criticism after he was VAC banned during a fragbite Masters match against HellRaisers.

The Swedish player, formerly of Absolute Legends and SK Gaming, has maintained his innocence, but his inability to prove that his VAC ban was a false positive resulted in Property being disqualified from fragbite Masters and also cost him his place on the team.

New cheating accusation falls on emilio

Andreas "⁠Maxaki⁠" Andersson, who currently plays for Team Orbit, has now revealed that emilio used wallhack at Copenhagen Games 2012, when the pair were playing for IMBA.

"Just so you know, I played with emilio at Copenhagen Games 2013 [he meant 2012]. He triggered TIMSU, a wallhack," Andersson wrote on Twitch.

"He was always looking back to see when he could turn it on/off. We were really angry at him."

Contacted by fragbite.se, emilio did not comment on whether he was cheating at the Danish BYOC event but rather acknowledged that he has become an easy target following his VAC ban.

"Of course that people who know the least about this are going to talk," he said.

"But of course it is funny to harass someone who is on the ground right now, it is not just you (maxaki), it is everyone.

"Regardless of how much you guys hate me, it will never change the the fact that I would never lose to you (maxaki) on LAN.

"Thanks to all you guys who write to me and support me every day. To the rest: please continue."

HLTV.org reached out to Maxaki for a reaction to emilio's comments, with the Orbit player saying that many times before he had gone public about his former team-mate's actions.

"We were having a discussion on Slop3's stream about Emilio, and I wanted to make a point, that the VAC ban was most likely true due to the tendency of him cheating, even on LAN," he told HLTV.org.

"I have said this even before his VAC ban. However, the importance of it wasn't as high back then."

Tbh I feel kinda bad for emilio now, maybe I'm too quick to forgive, but it'd be nice to see him acknowledge being a shitty player and person, and then try and atone. No, because a VAC ban can be triggered just from using cheats once, and not as proof of using it exclusively over matter of months. Regardless it doesn't matter whether he cheated previously, we've got proof he cheated during (or before) that live streamed game.

No, of course not? Where in my post did i even remotely imply that? I said that there's no conclusive proof that he's been cheating other than that particular match, since we don't know when VAC detected the cheat. You'd expect people to know that the timing of when he was detected, as that is crucial not to judge his entire career based on what some 'semi-elite' shitter has to say.

Yeah, there is a difference. The difference being that it's harder to cheat on LAN. The rest doesn't matter one bit. Whether it's a small 500$ online tournament or a major 250K LAN tournament, the person still had an unfair advantage because of his insecurities regarding competition. He deserves to be shunned by the community as such. He also deserves to be doubted the next time he shows up on the scene. And the next time. And the next. And all that until he leaves the scene or, for some extreme cases, esports as a whole. Maybe it seems too harsh to you, but that's the price that comes with the mistake he made.

While I agree with you on every point - cheaters should be shunned, possibly beaten severely in real life, the fact of the matter is that I was arguing for the VAC ban and not LAN games. We do not have conclusive proof enough to actually say he was cheating, except Maxaki's very timely announcement to the scene..

Well I don't know who you include in this "We", but I certainly consider VAC to be enough proof. If there was a mistake he could have talked it through with Valve and would have been unbanned, apparently it wasn't the case. Whether it's been years or weeks, it doesn't really matter, a pro player should have a clean account throughout his whole career if he expects to be taken seriously.

But this should have been out in the open during CPH Games. Yes it might have ruined your tournament, but think about how much it ruined for everyone playing you guys. At the very least you could have contacted an admin with the suspicion, so he would be forced either to have someone behind him at all times and/or recording demo.

I was young. In another country. Same travel tickets as him. No extra money for other travel. He was a friend. We stayed the night at the same place. We lost the game. It's a lot of factors that count. Though, if it happened now, I would have went to the tourney admins, though, he would probably also pressed alt f4 and made me look foolish.

Well first of all: you DIDNT KNOW you are going to lose and didnt say anything. Pretty low moral standards right there. Thats not a reason that "we lost anyhow". You should have resigned yourself from cheater immediately at any cause. +1 for admitting you did wrong. Dont just say any reasons because there isnt anything that will mitigate you actions. By this way he would have not lost his face and would have got confirmation whether its real or not. If Snax´s teammate would come to say or any other pro-player in the tournament, "yes" I think I might believe. thats true, but if you know about the crime someone is makeing irl, you dont get as hard punishment as the one that commits the crime, so i wouldnt call maxaki or someone else in the team that time hackers as it was emilio and if emilio gets him self permbanned from every event. i dont think maxaki and co: should. You're either missing or ignoring the point made maxaki... The appropriate thing you and your other team mates should have done was to report him to the LAN admins as soon as you saw him wallhacking. The fact that you continued playing makes you complicit to the cheating just as much as the cheater. It doesn't matter that you all got angry at him. You should be VAC banned as well in my opinion.

He got away with it pretty easily but there is like a really really low chance to hit that shot and react that way... notice how fast he is turning and the way he is turning is really perfect.. there's no way he could get faster to that head. when his crosshair lands on his head it stops on such a sudden way and he shoots a single bullet.. almost robotic.. He clearly got a bit scared from that smoke, maybe thinking it was a flashbang? To me it looked like he was surprised and probably clicked on one of his side mouse buttons by mistake. If he got surprised by that player behind him making noise, a natural reaction would be to shoot at the same time you are turning and spray. At least that's what I almost always see, but such a reaction.. I have never seen that before. TLDR : hacks

There's heaps of LAN cheats, one's that make noises when your crosshair goes on an enemy through the wall, ones that show up as tiny white dots through walls and even ones that show radars in keyboard LCD screens

It is true, they all cheated on LAN, if they knew that emilio was cheating, and what says that he played without in the qualifers? I think the situation would've been ultimately rare if emilio suddenly just came with cheats to this LAN event without anyone knowing about it!(teammates) So I'm just saying that blaming emilio only is not fair. Hopefully the scene can deal with this dramatic scandal, if we even can trust maxaki s words

I still remember. Emilio was playin an official match online with his team (after SK, forgot the name, i think it was this year's SLTV group stage). They were playin CT side on mirage and he was holding A site. The terrorist was hitting B site and everyone from CT rotated to B. 1 terrorist was still holding in apartment in A as a lurker, and he slowly walked outside. Emilio was on his way to B when he suddenly made a 180 and killed the lurker. I told myself "i think this guy is cheating". There's no way he could hear the enemy walking out (pov was the lurker at that time). And since then every game ive seen him played was subjectively dodgy for me. Including the game against flamie's team on train. So it doesnt surprise me when he finally got banned. Do u guys think he still has a future in the 'pro scene'?

emilio had a bad action there but his team cover it up... still i know that it was a complicated situation but both parts have guilt... btw someone said that changing de .ddl files trigger vac ban, its not rly like that , i have 2.5k hours of cs:go and i always used and use sweetfx... so ^^ you only trigger a vac ban if you use 3rd party programs dat gives you advantage against the rest of the players (cheats). ps: I confirmed with a support admin from valve that sweetfx dont trigger vac bans (; its safe to everybody , if someone said that trigger vac ban it's a pathetic escuse ofc that person hack so...

This is basically a news article about how you can cheat and be on Maxaki team and as long as you don't get caught he wouldn't snitch on you. It's just as bad to play with cheaters and know it and trying to get ahead then being the responsible one and quitting the team and outing them. How are we to know that emilio has cheated and all his teammates have known since the beginning and he was calling out all the enemies positions for his team? All it takes is one team mate to cheat to basically be a wallhack for the other 4.

oh boy i find it hillarious, and disgusting, nothing new that emilio cheater. But the fact still is here sits maybe 80% of players that have actually cheated in sca online tournaments in 1.6 and among other things. And yelling out things its just so godamn hillarious howb the dubbelstandard is in the counter-strike scene. This involves denmark,finland norway and sweden. If ppl only KNEW a fraction of what i know from playing since beta 2.5 coming from unreal tournament they would be astonished. How filithy the scene was even in 1.5/ early 1.6. Levitating, no but GTR Have played fragbite cup with cheaters many times :)
