Na`Vi to StarSeries final over Titan

Having won the knife round on de_dust2, Titan pulled off a surprising move by choosing the lesser-favoured CT side to begin on. Na`Vi came out strongly in the first half and won the pistol round after getting two early peeks in the middle area.

The first gun round then went to Titan, who saw themselves in a 5-on-3 situation as both Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács and Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev were dropped down early in the round in the T spawn and in long, respectively.

Titan followed it up by stringing together five rounds to make it 6-3 in favour of them, but then Na`Vi pulled out all stops and broke the Frenchmen's momentum, even though they almost spurned a 5-on-2 situation with the bomb planted in A as Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez took down three opponents.

Na`Vi managed to equalise the match on six rounds but then they went back to old habits and began to lose players and the bomb early in the rounds, which allowed Titan to take a 9-6 lead into the second half.

Things went from bad to worse for Na`Vi as they lost the pistol round, but a double scout setup in the following round allowed the home side to end Titan's run. The Ukrainians never let go and remained in the driving seat until the end of the map as they ran out 16-10 winners.

Next up was de_mirage, where Titan came out the brighter and won the pistol round following a quick A rush, with Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub getting three kills to his name. In order to avoid another eco setback, the Frenchmen pushed towards B in the following round, but they were once again caught off-guard by Na`Vi's strategy.

The Ukrainian team upped the pace and picked up the following four rounds to take a 5-1 lead, but then a 1-on-2 clutch from kennyS gave Titan some much-needed breathing room.

The French AWPer was almost single-handedly trying to counter Na`Vi's supremacy, but then he got the help of Kévin "⁠Ex6TenZ⁠" Droolans, who pulled off one of the most spectacular rounds of the year as he won a 1-on-5 situation. Still, that did not stop the home side from taking a commanding 10-5 lead into the second half.

Na`Vi picked up where they had left off and won the pistol round following a textbook A rush, with Sergey "⁠starix⁠" Ischuk getting three kills, and the two anti-eco rounds. Titan gave a much better account of themselves in gun play and even managed to reduce the deficit to three rounds, but a 1-on-3 clutch from Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin powered his team to pick up a 16-11 victory.
