Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel and Håvard "rain" Nygaard have both decided to leave London Conspiracy, according to a report from gamermag.no.

The Norwegian team raisd quite a few eyebrows when they finished in the top eight at Gfinity 3, but since then their LAN attendances have ended in disappointment.

At ESL One Cologne, London Conspiracy went out in the group stage following sound defeats against LDLC and Copenhagen Wolves, while at ESWC they came in fourth of their group with just two victories from five matches.

rain has reportedly left LC together with RUBINO

More recently the Norwegian team were given a golden opportunity to attend DreamHack Winter via the last-chance LAN qualifier but they spurned it by losing to FlipSid3 Tactics at Inferno Online Stockholm.

gamermag.no now reports that Ruben "⁠RUBINO⁠" Villarroel and Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard have both left the team to link up with former Partyastronauts duo Sebastian "⁠ensa⁠" Aas and Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad, as well as with ex-AliGon member Morten "⁠zEVES⁠" Vollan Christensen.

If the report proves to be true, then London Conspiracy will be left with the following trio:

Pål "⁠Polly⁠" Kammen
Bjoern "⁠Skurk⁠" Maaren
Preben "⁠prb⁠" Gammelsæter

And this rumoured new Norwegian squad will feature:

Might be possible yeah. About maak and hoyland (former h2k players with rubino and rain), i don't know. I believe both maak and hoyland quit the team because of other commitments, don't remember what the news-post said. They have been step-ins for LC a few times, i guess they just don't have the time. Both great players though

hoyland was an awesome player. Polly had some great games and some okaish I guess. I didn't really follow prb that much. The one that has been a constant let down for me was skurk because he was actually good but he had some things that could be easily fixed in his gameplay that he didn't do and that irritated me a lot. If he didn't take a retrospective look to how he plays after all it's his fault. He peaks in a bad way.

I agree with you. I like skurk, but his form started to go downhill for a while, although he sometimes did a few good games. Polly is really random, really good sometimes, and other times not so much. prb is such an experienced and stable player, would have liked them to keep him in the team with rubino and rain

The school plan went down the drain, lol. I kinda re-decided and wanted to take a year off, and the internet issues (far as i know) is non-existant for now. The issue is that im stuck with a Intel i7 930 processor atm, from 2009(?) which i cant remove without breaking the whole thing because its integrated with plastic(?) screws. Im considering if im gonna buy a new CPU, because the one i have now idles at 95-110 degrees, and when i launch CS it sometimes shuts down completely random because the CPU reaches a certain temp and just shuts itself off.

Probably for the best. Rain was by far the best player on LC, hopefully he can utilize his skills better in this new lineup. But I would like to have seen prb go with them as well. No clue who jkaem or zEVES are, hopefully good players.

Sad but it had to happen, rain and rubino are imo the two best players, would have hoped that prb would be part of the team and that they would have stayed in the LC org. New lineup looks solid though. Already know ensa can perform well, i guess zEVES will be ingame-leader? Don't know much about jkaem other than seeing him sometimes on rubino's stream.

The thing about Gfinity was that they only won on inferno. I don't think they had a single map win on another map. It showed they had figured that one map out and obviously are very skilled players. But they had only one good map. You can't be a pro team that is only good on one map. Since then, they haven't produced any good results. They have potential sure, but the current lineup hasn't proven themselves as anything but a fluke, they figured out the meta on one map and used it to beat top teams, then they faltered on every other map and haven't shown any results since. I'm Norwegian and would really like to see a Norwegian team in the top 10. But LC were overhyped over what was essentially a fluke. H2K winning Assembly Winter 2014 was really a bigger accomplishment than getting four map wins on inferno at Gfinity. That was when hoyland was in the lineup still. They dominated, destroying an ENCE with allu on it and then winning the whole thing. Hoyland was the MVP of that tournament.
