ESEC Finals schedule released

The organisers of the European Championship have released the detailed schedule of this season's $10,000 LAN Finals.

The event will be held this weekend at the BelExpoCentar, in Belgrade, and will feature the top four teams from the regular season, with the exception of last year's champions, Denmark, who will be replaced by Poland.

The format will see the four teams being placed in a double-elimination bracket, with every match being played in a best-of-three format bar the grand final, which will use a best-of-five system.

The first day of the tournament will be dedicated to the semi-finals, the Upper final and the Lower final. On Monday, action will kick off with a showmatch between some of the players in attendance and two casters, followed by the consolidation final and the tournament decider.

Sunday, December 14:

14:00 - France vs. Sweden
17:00 - Lower Final
20:00 - Upper Final

Monday, December 15:

Flights and hotels are paid by esec. I will be there as coach for Sweden. But i guess most of the players don't want to go because its to close to christmas and its been a lot of tournaments and travel for most teams lately at least for the swedish players. This time most of the players take a long holiday and spend time with family and friends or maybe go travel.

Sweden line-up such a disappointment. I'd have gone with something like: Pronax (IGL) GeT_RiGHT F0rest JW Twist Tried to pick players from 3 teams. Double awp setup with JW/Twist would be insane, and both are handy with rifles/CZ's too. Pronax for class IGL calls. GTR and Forest for sick clutches/rifle skills.

At first glance I thought finland only had a weak lineup. Poland choosing the 3 worst players of VP, still a decent team that will probably beat finland. Sweden's lineup is also low, considering how many great players there are. France is skillwise a lightyear ahead of other teams on this tournament, though it's not a guaranteed win for them.
