DH Open France with $40,000

DreamHack has announced that the upcoming Open event in France will feature a CS:GO tournament with a $40,000 prize pool.

Last month, HLTV.org revealed that DreamHack had decided to make CS:GO its main game for 2015, meaning that it will be featured in all events hosted by the Swedish company throughout the year.

The first details about DreamHack Tours, which will run from May 8-10, have now been unveiled, with CS:GO joining Starcraft II on the list of games that will be played at the event.

The CS:GO tournament will have $40,000 up for grabs, with further information, including tournament format, list of participants and prize distribution, expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

"There is no doubt that 2015 will be a huge year for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, especially after the results we’ve seen at DreamHack Winter and DreamHack Stockholm with French teams excelling," said DreamHack head of eSports Tomas Lyckedal.

"Alongside the very impressive results of French players in the WCS qualifiers for StarCraft II, we are tremendously excited to bring the first stop of DreamHack Open 2015 featuring both StarCraft II and Counter Strike to DreamHack Tours!"

For more information about DreamHack Tours, France's first DreamHack event, head over to its official website at http://www.dreamhack.fr/.

That's great! Just Prize money is just shy of an amount warranting an NA team to attend.

Couple of years ago I was in France and asked a guy if he spoke English and could tell me the way to some place. At first he said no, then he said a little, then yes quite good actually. In the end he spoke perfect Oxford English and had worked there for over 10 years but for some weird reason he was ashamed of this, like he had become less French lol

Kinda hate it, that the event will be in French only, so really annoying to watch. :/ If they would have eng-casting on event i would go there though.
