LDLC see off fnatic

LDLC have picked up their first points at MLG X Games Aspen following a 16-9 victory over fnatic on de_inferno.

Albeit being a traditionally very slow team on the Terrorist side, fnatic came out very determined and claimed bragging rights first with a no-nonsense B push. After losing the first eco round only because the bomb went off at the last millisecond of a defuse, LDLC pulled one back at the second attempt following a triple Nova kill from Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt.
The two teams then exchanged a couple of rounds and parity was restored at 3-3, but then LDLC took control of the match and picked up two rounds in succession. Jesper "JW" Wecksell then took matters into his own hands and pulled off an impressive four-kill round, which included a 1-on-2 clutch in A, but Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer responded in convincing fashion with four kills of his own in the following round.
LDLC remained in the driving seat for the remainder of the first half as they went into the interval up 11-4, knowing, however, that they were going to play on the lesser-favoured Terrorist side.
fnatic found a lifeline in the pistol round as they executed a great retake in B to put an end to LDLC's winning streak, but Markus "pronax" Wallsten's men were then caught off-guard by the Frenchmen's B push on eco.

Happy inspired LDLC to an important win

fnatic found a lifeline in the pistol round as they executed a great retake in B to put an end to LDLC's winning streak, but pronax's men were then caught off-guard by the Frenchmen's B push on eco.

LDLC continued to pile the pressure on fnatic and won the following two rounds to make it 14-5 in their favour, but fnatic refused to throw in the towel and closed the gap to five rounds. However, it was too little, too late, as LDLC strung two rounds together to seal a 16-9 win and keep their qualification hope alive.

wat that rulebook is a bit hard to understand for me tho care to explain? "If Head to Head Games Winning Percentage can’t break a tie, Head to Head Rounds Winning Percentage (Pool Play Rounds Won vs. Tied Teams / Pool Play Rounds Played vs. Tied Teams) will be used to break the tie." It seems to me, in case of everyone beat Liquid, the following outcomes can happen on FNC vs. CLG: if CLG takes 10 or less rounds -> fnatic advances if CLG takes 11 or more rounds -> CLG advances

Obvious throw (no cheating) by fnatic in a meaningless group match to be less blatant. Since now they ll play for staying in the tournament so they ll cheat and they ll win everything. You can quote me later.

If LDLC and CLG beat Liquid and fnatic beat CLG which is basically the expected outcome then it depends on rounds won since head to head CLG>LDLC>fnatic>CLG which is a 3 way tie. Dunno where you guys are getting your logic from. Round difference is stupid when you only play to 16 (rather than 30 rounds regardless of score) because of heavily sided maps like Nuke and Cbble. Though playing all 30 rounds has its issues as well. Round Robin isn't always the best format to use.
