NiP, Titan, nV pick up wins at IOS

After some initial delays, all matches were underway with LGB taking on NiP, Titan up against fnatic, while the last match-up was EnVyUs' debut under the new organization versus Virtus.pro.

NiP and LGB ended up playing de_dust2 with the Swedes starting as Terrorists in arguably the easiest match-up of all the teams. NiP started off strong when they only left two rounds for the Norwegian side in the first ten rounds.

After an extensive pause due to technical issues, NiP let off two more rounds before finishing up the half at 11-4. When they switched sides, Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund and company quickly picked up their first win in the group stage with a 16-5 score.

Most of EnVyUs' debut happened off-stream, but what we do know is that the teams played on de_cache with the Frenchmen starting as the favoured Counter-Terrorists.

Virtus.pro ended up having a very comfortable Terrorists side, as they went on to the other side with a 8-7 score, but seeing as how the meta shifted in the last few months, it wasn't over by any means.

EnVyUs confirmed that with a strong Terrorists side of their own, Virtus.pro only managed to take two rounds of their own in exchange for nine for Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon's team, with the final score being 16-10 in favour of EnVyUs.

Titan's match-up with fnatic was the most interesting one it seemed, the Frenchmen kicked off de_inferno with a win in the pistol round, but fnatic's second round buy tied the game at 1-1.

Fnatic picked up five more rounds afterwards, with Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub saving an awp twice in a row before Titan managed to fight back with a round of their own.

Towards the end of the first half Titan scraped together two more before switching over to the more comfortable side at 4-11. Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire was up to the task in the second pistol, where he picked up a quick quad-kill at the B bombsite before finishing up the ace a few seconds after.

Titan were coming back into the match round by round, with apEX taking a second ace for himself against fnatic's half-eco of some sorts. fnatic were only able to snatch one round during the whole half, as they saw Titan emerging victorious at 16-12.
