Titan down EnVyUs, NiP & Virtus draw

Titan have confirmed their status as the tournament's surprise package as they made it four wins in as many matches after beating DreamHack Winter and MLG X Games Aspen champions EnVyUs.

The former LDLC team came out the brighter and picked up a 3-0 lead in the first half, but then Titan responded in convincing fashion and turned the score around. EnVyUs picked themselves up in the final stages of the half and managed to get seven rounds before switching to the CT side.

In the second half, EnVyUs tied the game on eight rounds after winning the pistol, but then an eco ace from Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire allowed Titan to regain control of the match, which they ended up winning fairly easily.

Elsewhere, Virtus.pro continued their winless round in Stockholm, four rounds into the tournament, as they were held to a 15-15 draw, their second result of the kind at the event.

Starting off on the highly-favoured CT side, Virtus.pro gave a good account of themselves in the first half, which they won 11-4, but a seven-round lead could spell trouble for them.

NiP gave a good response in the second half and picked up the first six rounds to reduce the deficit to 10-11. The rest of the half was neck-and-neck, as neither side were able to stamp their authority on the game, and a force buy in the very last round gave Virtus.pro the draw.
