CLG, Titan scrape wins in Katowice
Counter Logic Gaming are one step away from ESL One Katowice after defeating Gamers2 16-14 on de_cache.
Starting off on the Terrorist side, Gamers2 kicked things off with a no-nonsense B push. Paweł "innocent" Mocek got three kills to his name on his way to the bombsite before being taken down by Peter "ptr" Gurney in the decisive one-on-one.
CLG were then hit on the eco following some good Desert Eagle work from Gamers2, especially Grzegorz "SZPERO" Dziamałek, which forced the North American side to go on a double eco.
In the next gun round, ptr displayed his good AWP skills and put a stop to Gamers2’ A push with three kills of his own to break the Polish team's momentum. For the remainder of the first half, it was pretty much a one-way street, with the North American side taking a commanding 11-4 lead into half-time.

innocent turned in an impressive display
Gamers2 found a lifeline in the second half as they won the pistol round with ease, but then they were taken aback by an ecoing CLG side. Despite that setback, the former ESC Gaming team continued to fight back, but their inability to string rounds together and force CLG to eco saw the North Americans secure a 15-7 lead.
It was only then that the Polish team finally started to get rounds in succession. They kept their momentum right up until the very last round, which ended up going CLG's way.

In the other opening match, Titan were surprisingly made to work hard to beat PiTER, who are attending the event with two stand-ins, Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov and Aleksei "ub1que" Polivanov, on de_cache.
A rampant start from PiTER saw the Russian side take a 7-1 lead on the Terrorist side of the map. Titan then picked themselves up and closed the half leading 8-7, but still Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's men had to feel worried as they were about to play on the Terrorist side.

kennyS carried his team against PiTER
In the second half, PiTER once again came out the brighter, but this time around Titan did not take nearly as long to react. The Frenchmen were in control for a certain period of time, but some strong play from the Russian team in the final rounds equalised the match 15-15. Four over times were needed to set these two teams apart, with Titan running out 28-24 winners in the end.
