3DMAX over mouz, secure major

The final deciding match of the day saw the Finns of 3DMAX vying with mousesports on de_cache for a place at ESL One Katowice.

With 3DMAX starting as CT, Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli and co. enacted reckoning on allu's former team with an aggressive CT push through A main, almost reversing team roles in the game. Two easy eco rounds followed after to leave the score at 3:0 for 3DMAX.

mousesports had their opening in the gun round as they were able to out-aim 3DMAX for their first round. The next round saw Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić set-up an easy one-on-one for team leader Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik on A site, giving mousesports another consecutive T round.

On the eigth round, Taneli "⁠disturbed⁠" Veikkola used aggressive CZ play to score 2 quick kills on 3DMAX's eco, and his efforts translated into a win for the Finns, equalising the score at 4:4.

The next gun round showed that a momentum shift had taken place, and even though allu almost gave away the round with a moment of bizarre acrobatics, 3DMAX pulled through with a 2-on-2 to secure the lead.

Tobias "⁠Troubley⁠" Tabbert secured mouz their 6th round on T side by winning a one-on-one on A site, leaving the score at the half, 9:6 for 3DMAX.

The second half's pistol round saw mousesports win a messy retake on B site, only to have the bomb timer go off, giving 3DMAX both pistol rounds in the game. Karma came back to haunt the Finns on the next round when Troubley won a one-on-five, capping off the round by sticking a defuse with one T still alive.

Tobias "⁠Troubley⁠" Tabbert tried to salvage mouz with a 1 vs. 5 win on a force buy 

Somehow 3DMAX did not let that loss bring them down and they boarded the Tec-9 train to win their own eco in the next round. 

With the score at 13-7 for 3DMAX, mousesports tried to mount a last-ditch defence, however it was 3DMAX's stand-in Mikko "⁠xartE⁠" Välimaa who helped dismantle the German side with a B site take. mousesports were unable to take the succeeding round either, leaving the score at match-point: 15:7.

Mikko "⁠xartE⁠" Välimaa played superbly as a stand-in 

mousesports reclaimed B site in the next round after going down a man, and prolonged their lifeline in the game. However, 3DMAX went with a classic A take in the next round to win 16:8 and secure their spot in Katowice.
