de_tuscan finalized and released

Colin "Brute" Volrath has officially released his de_tuscan ported into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Throughout the last two and a half years, Colin "Brute" Volrath has been trying to port de_tuscan, a popular map for both previous versions of Counter-Strike, into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Despite a few setbacks and prolonged pauses, the map has arrived to a public beta test in September last year. Since then, Volrath has used the feedback to finalize the map.

The final version of a much-anticipated de_tuscan can be downloaded in Steam's Workshop here, public for everyone to try out and play.


de_tuscan has been in the works for over two years

The map arrives at a time after Valve have made their decision to replace de_nuke with the revamped de_train, meaning they might be open to other changes in the map pool in the future.

The new tuscan is worse than the new train. Bad textures, worst hitboxes of the objects I`ve ever seen. Overall it`s absolut shit imo. It needs to be remade just like season.

copy past from the forum thread to brood: are you really wondering yourself why you get so much hate by the european community? if so i gonna give you a hint. Tuscan was a part of competitive counter-strike since the map was added by the leagues back in the 1.6 / source days. When cs:go came out you just could have ported or let a mapper port your version of the CSS version into the game and we would have not stucked to play the broken maps made by HPE (old inferno/train/nuke) instead you bitched around and made us wait 3 Years while there are so many good mappers which could have reworked the map much better and way faster. Now 3 years later we have a playable version which has a small chance to get into the operation. And if you gonna watch the best 20 maps suggestions from valve in the upcoming operation you will find 20 better designed maps then tuscan (not competitive wise). These is the reason why i dislike you and alot of other ppl.

I've personally never liked Tuscan so i'm not going to comment on map layout. It's obvious others do enjoy the map. However, the map design is horrific, misplaced models and big differences between walls is bound to result in player models getting lost. For this reason I just don't see this version making it into competitive play before either Season or possible Fire does.
