Virtus beat TSM to win CPH Games

Virtus.pro won Copenhagen Games 2015 following a 2-0 victory against Team SoloMid (16-14 on de_cobblestone and 16-10 on de_inferno).

Having come from the Upper Bracket, Virtus.pro came into the series with the advantage in the veto process as they got to pick the first map and make the first two vetoes.

The first map of the series was de_cobblestone, where Virtus.pro got off to a flying start on the Terrorist side by winning the opening five rounds of the game. The two teams then exchanged a couple of rounds, but the Polish side regained control of the proceedings and went into the break leading by seven rounds.

Many expected that Virtus.pro had this one in the bag, but Team SoloMid crawled back into the match with some good offensive moves of their own and brought the game to a 14-14 stalemate, when Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's men picked up two rounds in a row to close it out.

Snax had some important rounds on de_inferno

Next up was de_inferno, which followed a similar pattern to the previous map as Virtus.pro were sitting on an 11-4 lead after the first 15 rounds. Team SoloMid then found a lifeline as they won the pistol round thanks to a triple kill from René "cajunb" Borg in the pistol round as CT.

An incredible ace from Nicolai "device" Reedtz in the back of the A site during the first gun round kept TSM's momentum going, but just when the Danes were getting within touching distance of their opponents, Virtus.pro upped the pace and strung a few rounds together to walk away with the trophy they lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas last year.

TSM honestly should have won this but they choked as usual :/ VP is not that individually skilled compared to TSM's roster. For instance, Device is much better than Pasha + Neo combined :/

That was best shot that TSM could have to actually win something. Only one of the strongest teams there and yet they manage to lose. I don't count home soil advantage because VP had actually more support than TSM :D

The only tournament VP can win is the one with T2&T3 teams.

tsm is truly a gatekeeper type of team, never loses to a worse team, yet never wins against a better.

where are all the -taz and virtus.throw people now? I hate how two-faced this community is. Had VP lost this we'd see a spam of -taz, -neo and Virtus.throw again. Congratz on the win to VP though and I hope they can keep this up throughout the year. Some really sick plays vs TSM - such as snax flashing out from a smoke at Inferno's B site

He was a caller in his whole CSS career and the majority of the time in NiP. Fiffy was a caller for a pretty long time before they switched to Xizt.
