FlipSid3 sign extended contracts

FlipSid3 Tactics signed dAT Team in early February after dispensing with its former Swedish team (which went on to join Team Property).  

The mostly Ukrainian team, excepting Russian player Georgi "⁠WorldEdit⁠" Yaskin, went on to have a mixed bag of results: winning the regional CIS LAN Championship and finishing 3-4th at Copenhagen Games for example, but also bombing out of ESL One Katowice with a total of four rounds won in the group stage.

Much of the team's struggles have centered on the continuing ESL ban of the team's star player, Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev. In effect until 2016, the ban forbids s1mple from taking part in any ESL events, including the prestigious ESL ESEA League to which FlipSid3 were recently invited.

Regardless of these woes, the organisation have obviously seen potential in the lineup and decided to sign extended contracts with them, remarking that this occasion is a first for the organisation itself. 

Contract extensions are an often private and closely guarded matter, with some notable exceptions such as the famous Virtus.pro two-year extension, and the announcement no doubt represents good faith between the players and the organisation.

Team captain Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy released a statement on the signing:

"We are very happy to have found a home here at F3. It is very motivating to know we are supported by the org, and they want us to be here for a long time. We are happy to have this security, and look forward to a long lasting relationship," Gorodensky said.

FlipSid3 will next be seen in action at DH Tours, where they will compete with seven other teams on May 9-10 for a share of the $40,000 prize purse.
