Maniac: "[F3] used the right cards"

Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez explained the struggles in juggling work, studies and CS, why his team had a slow start into the FlipSid3 match and how Titan are dealing with Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's drop in performance as of late.

Titan faced a tough match-up in the second match of group A, as they were pitted against FlipSid3, who gave Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez and company a run for their money.

In the end Titan came back from a 5-10 halftime score and made it through one overtime, and we got a hold of Maniac to get his point of view on adapting throughout de_cbble.

We also touched on other subjects, such as him juggling competitions, work and finishing a master's degree, as well as Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub's drop-off in performance and how Titan are trying to make up for it in other areas.

Its rare but we have seen times where he plays amazing and carries his team, he is definitely capable and maybe after he finishes school he chooses a path that helps him and his team improve.

Well you don't really deal with the kenny performance drop, you just lose at that point.

I didn't know Maniac was dealing with both studies AND work on top of his CS career. That's quite a lot to handle at the same time. He doesn't seem very motivated to go full time on CS, which is sad.

if the infos floating around on other posts is true, why would he be motivated to play fulltime? getting 700/800€ in France, to play CS, doesn't even pay of bills, not to mention college tuition and what not, lol.

If you go full-time CS:GO, I'm confident you get more than 700-800 euros a month. Especially nowadays. And if you don't, you certainly don't have the organization you need. It's possible that right now Maniac doesn't get more than that, simply because he's only available part-time. But getting full-time means more potential results, which means more support and more money. Besides other salary upgrade linked to his full-time commitment of course.
