MusambaN1 joins Epsilon

Jonathan 'MusambaN1' Torrent has joined Epsilon's CS:GO roster, where he will be replacing Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas.

Epsilon's foray into the Spanish CS:GO scene began in May when the organisation signed the ex-Atlantis team in the wake of its previous roster's infamous match-fixing fiasco.

The Epsilon lineup did not put up the kind of results they themselves may have expected however, even losing to Iberian rivals x6tence in regional offline competitions (although it should be noted that Epsilon got its revenge at a later grand final).

MusambaN1 joins Epsilon as an official fifth

With the implosion of x6tence's CS:GO roster last month, it was understood that a shakeup of rosters in the Spanish scene was forthcoming. This notion was confirmed when former x6tence player Jonathan "⁠MusambaN1⁠" Torrent was spotted playing as a stand-in for Epsilon in recent games.

The storied player, who has a strong reputation from his 1.6 days, has now been confirmed as signed to Epsilon's roster, where he will take the role of in-game leader for the team. MusambaN1 will replace Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas via this roster shuffle.

Epsilon's new lineup is as follows:

Alejandro "⁠alex⁠" Masanet
Omar "⁠arki⁠" Chakkor
Aitor "⁠SOKER⁠" Fernández
Jonathan "⁠MusambaN1⁠" Torrent

Chevi "⁠Spanisfury⁠" Gonzalez (coach)

As for mixwell's future, it is still uncertain where the player will end up or what his future plans will be.

Not at all, this is like they drop rain and put fetish cuz he is a real igl. Now they have an igl but in the last team musamban1 didnt give 100%, Like in his old team (x6tence) they had a gaming house and only 2 profit it... So as a team yes is better cuz they have an igl. But as a player and at ambitious level dropped severely. BTW Mixwell was their best player. But lets see how it ends

afaik, musamban1 is most famous (and the best in 1.6) spanish player. playing since 1.5 or even earlier? dont know those four you mentioned, but is skillgape between them and musamban1 that huge?

Obv musamban1 isn't at his 1.6 level in skill terms, and those guys are 18-20 y/o young people, except for kairi who is like 26. Same goes for flipin for example, even if he improved a lot since he came back.

I was talking about this team. But the best spanish player is Aguila, if not is between Mixwell, lowel and Aguila. Maybe at this moment is lowel/Mixwell but if Aguila reach his real level like before 2012/2013 loweland mixwell will be no way near. At the moment Aguila is shining at some moments or games. Last one vs MTW with 31 kills(next teamate with 18 or 16) in a game winning the round with entryfrag and clutch 4k to make the comeback to the map and the game being 1 map down.

The best spanish player is Musamban1, stop fanboying about players that didnt show anything yet, mixwell always switching, aguilan1 far away of his small window performance, lowel is still a promise. The only one that has the mentality of a winner is Musamban1.

abnormally furious; ferocious: a mad bull. affected with rabies; rabid: a mad dog. u look mad since u use words/sencetences like STOP fanboying( well i can fanboy anyone i like not becuase u say another thing i won't) The only one( this might be for u, because if u look at the stats he is not) because since i know Musamban1 is the one that has less hours from his exteam x6tence... is that for u dedication? he preferes his life(girlfriend, job and friends than cs:go) and this is not bad at all. I mean you can`t be a TOP team if u dont practice a lot like 5-8 hours a day like other real top teams like envy, nip,mouz, fnatic, tsm, c9, navi, VP etc(nor x6tence). Thats why i wouldn't call him an ambitious guy or mentally winner since he dont play/practice what is needed to be a top contender.

Dunno if you got the point. Mixwell and all those players didn't demonstrated anything yet, so let them have his own carrer cuz Musamban1 so far is one of the most laureated players of cs history.

loWel might be the better player overall and on LAN I tend to agree, but online mixwell and ALEX make some sick shit! (not implying they hack, they just play better online than LAN of what I have seen)

mixwell? yeah, probably the most explosive player on the team but i'd say this is a pretty good replacement, perhaps a bit worse but if he's leading this change could work out pretty well

if #15 is actually true, the Epsilon/Ex-x6tence rivalry will be extremely interesting, as it was in the past. I really feel like the spanish scene has potential if they made a star lineup, that new x6tence roster could be what spain needs.

musamban1 can bring what epSilon needs. A good IGL that can free Alex talent. Mixwell is on new x6tence roster. Kairi confirmed. (Flipin, Mixwell and Kairi are confirmed + 2 more tbc).

I wish Spain had one good team :/ always feels like they're not putting in enough time. Probably don't get much support though so not possible.

they got support they are just not dedicated/have enough skill to be a top team x6tence had a gaming house and only 3 players were living there, others were working etc and didnt want to.

Skill wise this a pretty decent roster that can represent spain internationally but esports isnt promoted in spain as much as in NA, Germany or Sweden for example. People here doesn't care at all about the competitive scene so far and everyone who is ''dedicated'' to it has a huge ego, so overall nobody can progress. Stuff nowadays seems like changing a bit, gonna see in a few years where we will be when esports in general grow up.

dont talk about esports, just talk about csgo, a game which is growing but which is way behind league of legends, which I d consider quiet huge in Spain. Spain could have a good top team which with time could fight vs top teams, the problem is not the support ( like we saw with x6tence, they had gaming house and salary), the problem is that most of this talented players are too young and not as professionals as they should be and the ones who are old and experienced dont have enough skill in terms of aim. Other big problems is the lack of implication and dedication of some of this players and of course that the relationship between some of the is bad and cant play in the same team.

mixwell > musamban1 skill wise, they lost their most explosive and best player so far. But this line up has the necessary individual skill without him tbh, musamban1 isnt bad individually tho and will be interesting to see what he can bring on the tactic side. ALEX gonna be finally unleashed coz musamban1 gonna take the leading task. An free concentrated on his game ALEX > Mixwell, anyday. Mixwell will be on x6 with flipin and kairi +2 more.

Alex and Soker can do pretty much the same as mixwell. Arki and donQ on a good day too. That line up was individually skilled but they needed someone to take the ''brain'' rol.

Hilarious move. Drop your best player and contract a close-to-the-end-of-his-career player. Hope Musa teaches them well to play CS, even if he is a little outdated. Mixwell should team up with kairi and take 3 young talents.

Spanish/Portugal team really needs to sort itself out and get one solid skilled team. Would love to see something like: Fox (Kinguin don't need him) Sukitron (when he's good again) Aguila mixwell ALEX Coached by Musamban1 who should take a step back from playing.
