The official talent lineup for DreamHack Open Stockholm, which will run from September 22-26 and act as the next CS:GO major's qualifier, has been announced by DreamHack.

Following the announcement of the official group draw and schedule for DreamHack Open Stockholm, which is merely a week away, the final piece of the puzzle remained to be the announcement of an official casters desk and talent lineup for the event.

DreamHack have now announced its CS:GO talent for the major qualifier in Stockholm, which will run from September 22-26 in a best-of-three format and across two separate areas in the Swedish capital.

The official talent lineup for DreamHack Open Stockholm

The event will see Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett function as panel host, seeing the Canadian take on a new role to that of a traditional commentator.

Frequent in-game observer Janko "⁠YNk⁠" Paunović will also try out a new role as an analyst on the desk. Joining the commentary panel will be former NiP coach Joona "⁠natu⁠" Leppänen alongside the RoomOnFire duo and Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and Vince "Metuz" Hill.

semmler is beyond his deep. he was so shit in sc he switched to cs but he is still very low. go figure how low is cs casting scene. there is only one semi good lineup: host: machine (cod guy) analyst: henryg, moses caster: blu, moses/henryg, anders(if not going full retard)/ddk(on a good day in serious mode)

Actually ESL managed the analysis desk pretty well at Cologne. They brought in amazing newcomers, Chobra and OJ as hosts, got rid of Machine, Kaplan and limited Pansy's casting time to only in unimportant matches. Too bad they went back to old shitty ESL's lineup at Dubai, thats really awful.

not talking about cologne but dubai, yeah^^ but i have no clue why anyone would think the analyst desk at cologne was any good. chobra is decent for a certain style of desk. but unfortunately, that style is the buttoned up, boring ass esl style where nobody says anything controversial, nobody discusses anything seriously and everybody basicly jerks each other off under the table. this combined with fuccboys like cadian and fiffy? urgh. gimme a bit of fire dude, thorin and scoots or even rlewis, yes pls. OJ is good as a stage host yeah ill give u that, but he has loads of experience in that stuff from TV.

i think they are actually quite similar. and machine is actually mah boy. i quite enjoyed the three man casting crews they had and if u get machine with anders and moses or a combo like that, then machine is actually pretty good. hes passionate about the game, has a good voice and a good style and his knowledge is getting there. so for regular pbp casting he is pretty good. and id say if he wouldnt be working wwith these lame ESL style desks he could be a good host too.

He used to be a host at ESL Katowice and did pretty bad job there, boring, couldn't sync with other commentators, lacked of game knowledge, etc. I think Chobra is definitely an upgrade over him. Anyway, everything is an upgrade from Katowice the major with worst analyst desk ever.

yeah iirc katowice was machines first event. i used to hate him, but u gotta give credit where credits due: all the esl guys improved massively since then. now all of them are at least good enuff for pbp casting if they have good co casters.

i think you follow the scene longer than me. may i ask you for your opinion about RedEye as a host ? recently, i follow Steel's twitter and he rated RedEye so high. is/was he that good as an event host ? too bad, i came in after he left ESL and started working for Gfinity and he stopped being a host for CS event after that.

redeye has basicly done nothing in csgo. he might have the skill to be good and he was a good caster in 1.6, but that doesnt help him. i dont know if i saw him as a desk host yet in csgo... maybe once or some shit. and a few times ive seen him cast and tbh he was terrible. u cant do casting, even pbp casting, if u dont follow the game on a daily basis and are passionate about it. and he didnt and wasnt.

Anyone who says natu should be replaced with Black ddk is a complete idiot. Yes sure, black ddk might be funny to listen to etc., but is being funny what you are required in Event like this? Nope. You need to provide knowledge, so the viewers who appreciate high level Counter-strike can listen to it. And casters like natu/Threat/Anders give just that.

Now we will have Natu who will say obvious shit like "They should have pushed together instead of peeking 1 at a time" etc. For silvers that kind of casting is good BUT every tournament needs to have either Moses or Thorin(even Lurppis and Threat) because they bring something "extra" to the table.
