We interviewed the MVP, Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad, from the second quarter-final of the day, where G2 caused a huge upset against Virtus.pro.

G2 took Virtus.pro by surprise by winning de_cache quite comfortably towards the end, and topped it off with a back-and-forth overtime battle on de_train to make the 2-0 upset over the Poles.

Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad was the clear MVP of the match, scoring an impressive 1.49 rating (62-40), who we grabbed for a quick talk about the quarter-final. The Norwegian also shared his concerns going into the EnVyUs semi-final tomorrow:

please read this Scream, and other players who think 100% or 90% hs players are pros. Game sense should be there before aim.

The thing is, ScreaM is not the same beast he used to be anymore. His whole gamestyle of fast adad tapping has been nerfed with the movement change, and it had the same effect on his play as the AWP nerf on KennyS. He always had troubles performing on important LAN games, reason he got kicked for KQLY, and ever since, he is still trying to force his signature style, but it makes him an inconsistent player. You can still see that when he has a good day, he is an absolute monster. When he is getting the taps it is impossible to counter, but sadlyhe gets it less times nowadays. Jkem on the other hand is not a special, but a very highly skilled rifler. He doesn't have outsanding movement, good positioning like Gtr or Snax, he is just a simple beast who casually sprays down 2 people with an m4 if he wants. Don't get me wrong, he is an awesome addition to G2, probably upgrade from ScreaM, but ScreaM still has a higher skill ceiling in my opinion. The sad thing though is Shoxie, showing maybe the highest individual skill in the whole major, still losing due to some unfortunate misplays from his team.

+1 jkaem might not have 80% HS but he gets more than 8.0 kills per match.
