Luminosity upset nV, Liquid move on
Liquid have defeated Legacy, while Luminosity caused a huge upset to EnVyUs, which saw two teams leave the competition, while the two winners move on to deciders taking place later today.
The initial match of the day saw Liquid and Legacy fight for survival after falling short in the first round of the upper bracket yesterday.
While many feared for Liquid's life in the tournament following their 0-16 blowout versus TSM and Legacy's narrow result with Polish titans Virtus.pro, the Oceanic team's de_cbble pick backfired due to the Americans' solid T side.
Liquid had little to no trouble closing it out after a 12-3 halftime score and moved on to de_cache, where they had to fight for the win, but were still able not to give Legacy too much room with a 16-11 scoreline.

On the other side was another team to have faced humiliation in the first round due to another 0-16 defeat, this time at the hands of fnatic, Luminosity, who were up against EnVyUs.
Surprisingly enough the Brazilians put in a good 10-5 Counter-Terrorist side on their own map, de_mirage, and continued to thrive as Terrorists as well, as EnVyUs never found a way back into the match and stared down the barrel at 6-16.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's side was unable to keep the pressure on in the second map, and despite a close first half fell short to EnVyUs's near-perfect T side on de_cbble to make it 1-1 in the series following a 16-8 scoreline.

fnx's team cause a huge upset despite swapping two players very recently
It all came down to de_inferno, where Luminosity started as Terrorists and got eight rounds before switching over, and with a pistol round win it started to look like an upset was in the making.
A one-sided first gunround also went the way of the team who just swapped two players. At that point EnVyUs were broke and never found their way back despite Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's god-like one-on-four to prevent match point.
FalleN's quick triple on the B bombsite with a saved AWP nearly put the last nail in EnVyUs's coffin, which came just three rounds afterwards.
The tournament will continue with Virtus.pro and Liquid fighting for one of the two spots in the semi-finals as soon as both teams are ready, and NiP will follow up with their match against Luminosity afterwards.
