Sunde returns in mTw

mTw have annnounced via Facebook that Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde has joined their Counter-Strike team.

The Danish player hung up his mouse in November 2010 after enjoying a trophy-laden career that saw him win several international titles, especially in 2008, when his mTw team dominated the scene.

In his prime, Christoffer "⁠Sunde⁠" Sunde was regarded as one of the finest AWPers in the game, and many hoped for his return when mTw announced Oliver "⁠minet⁠" Minet - who was part of the famous Danish team from 2009 to 2011 - as the first member of their new squad.


Sunde returns to activity 

minet is currently at DreamHack Winter at a promotional event together with Danny "⁠zonic⁠" Sørensen and Nicolaj "⁠Nico⁠" Jensen, leading to rumours that both players are joining mTw, who are expected to unveil new team members in the coming weeks.

There might be a lack of pros in our scene but please don't act like your nation is a god send to CS. Every Fin I have encountered on CS has been awkward an dog shite. I am not claiming to be good at the game at all, but I seriously doubt you are either. As for the deformed teeth comment, you have clearly been misguided by stereotypes you see on American TV etc, how about you visit the UK and see what it is all about, you will probably love most of the major cities here, they shit on most places.

it affects motivation a lot, hard to practice for months with no results, getting schooled by kids, when you where one of the best players 7 years ago. There are literally no examples of old guys coming back and playing as good as before.

there is a massive difference, neo, forest get right didn't quit when 1.6 had almost no tournaments, and shit salary, they obviously love the game and competition a lot. And Sunde quit in 2010, i speak of successfully comebacks, not old school players ability to play at top level, because coming back is much harder after you quit being on top, winning tournaments.

tbh, kind of strange politics to pick 30 y.o. veteran, who haven't played 1.6 since 2010 and as a result haven't played competitive CS:GO at all. We all(well, most of us) know that Sunde was one of the greatest awp of all time, but i really doubt that he will have enough motivation to start learn the new game, to play it at top level. Also the second big question is about mTw's patience and money abilities, because such lineup will need a huge number of tournaments. But as you said we have no knowldges about how current mTw works as an organisation, cause much time has passed since they had strong CS team.
