NiP through to fb Masters final

Following the all-Danish clash between SK Gaming and Question Mark, which had a surprising outcome, it was time for a Swedish classic between Ninjas in Pyjamas and fnatic - the two favourites following the elimination of the former TSM side.

NiP got off to a strong start on de_cache and cruised to a 5-0 lead thanks to great individual actions from Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund and Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg in the pistol round and in the first gun round, respectively. The following gun round saw fnatic go for a double AWP setup, a decision that really paid off, but NiP hit back immediately after to reset the economy of their opponents.

Nothing seemed to be going fnatic's way as they struggled to keep up with the pace and were held off of any economic development, with NiP closing out the half with a commanding 14-1 lead.

The second half began with fnatic winning five rounds straight to keep their hopes alive, but their dreams were crushed right after as NiP secured back-to-back rounds to seal a 16-6 success.

f0rest was in stunning form throughout the series 

Next up was de_inferno, where NiP came out the brighter once again, but this time around they were unable to build a strong lead as fnatic replied in the first eco round. Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman's men went on a fantastic run to bring the scoreline to 5-1, but NiP dominated the late game and picked up a 9-6 half-time lead.

NiP held on to their significant lead and picked up the opening three rounds on the Terrorist side to get 12 rounds on the board. Despite some resistance from fnatic in the first gun rounds, the ninjas were able to bring the scoreline to 14-10, but then they were caught off-guard by their opponents' B eco hold. That one round turned the game on its head as fnatic regained control of the proceedings and won six rounds straight to seal a 16-14 finish.

fnatic will face SK in the Consolidation match 

de_cobblestone decided the series, and it was NiP who looked the stronger of the two during the initial stages as they won the first five rounds. fnatic were unwilling to let the map slide, however, and solved their offensive problems to reduce the gap to just two rounds, but NiP looked really sharp during the late stages and secured a commanding 11-4 lead.

Now playing on the CT side of the map, fnatic showed their fighting spirit and won several consecutive rounds, but the gap was just too big to bridge as NiP, powered by an in-form f0rest, took the map 16-12 to secure the first spot in the grand final.
