StarSeries XIV Finals viewer's guide *

If you've been wondering about SL i-League StarSeries XIV Finals, when the teams play, who the casters are, or just about anything else about the event in Minsk, Belarus, look no further; here is the viewer's guide with all the information needed.

SL i-League StarSeries XIV Finals kicks off tomorrow with group A, which means it's time to gather all information into our viewer's guide.

The first big event of 2016 will take place at the Minsk Arena in the capital of Belarus, and will extend over five days, January 13-17. The first two days reserved for the entire group stage will be closed off to live audience.

The groups are following:

Group A Group B
Null element Na`Vi  Sweden fnatic
Europe G2 Denmark Question Mark
Brazil Luminosity  France Titan
China CyberZen France EnVyUs

All matches in the group stage will be played in best-of-threes, with the first-placed team going directly to semi-finals, while second and third-placed will have battle their way through quarter-finals.

Every playoff match will also be played in a best-of-three, as shown in the full schedule below:

People always ask for BO3 groups and this is more or less what happens when you do that. It might be better to have each day have half the matches from each group instead though if that is what you are saying.

I'm all for bo3 groups and i don't mind the group stages taking two days, but why not have a day for opening games for both groups? Play the tournament one stage at a time, instead of finishing one group before even starting another.
