PENTA Sports member Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz will fill in for NRG at the Counter Pit League Season 2 Finals, team manager Nebi "fnr" Serç has announced via Twitter.

The North American team had been on the lookout for a fifth player for the event in Croatia after Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney suffered a fractured ankle during his flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt following severe turbulence - an injury that will require him to undergo surgery.

Replacing the 25-year-old AWPer will be PENTA's Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz, who reunites with Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić and Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik after playing alongside the duo in MOUZ.

tabseN will play for NRG in Split

NRG will face Envy in the quarter-final stage of the Counter Pit League Finals, a match that is scheduled to start on Thursday at 19:45 . A total of $80,000 will be on offer at the event, featuring teams from Europe, North America and Oceania.

This means that NRG's lineup for the event in Split is:

fnatic have a majority of the team from the same country (all 5 in fact..) so they play with a Swedish flag ofc. Sure the org is based in London but that doesn't matter. Here you got 2 Germans (Eu-member country) Serbia (not EU-member (yet) but still in EU) And 2 Muricans. So you dont have a obvious answer on this one do ya? So do you choose EU? Or org destination?

I actually don't think so. IIRC the games were for the RGN-league or something, the "main" stream was on Azubu while TabseNs on Twitch. I'll try to see if I can find anything on my history later when I wake up.

Well...if you break your foot and you get a surgery, you need to keep your foot steadily higher than your knee (and your knee higher than your hip). That for couple of days (has to do something with swelling).

I'm actually very excited for this stand-in. Although it would be much better with ptr, silent can awp (not near as good as ptr) and the team should function properly, especially since gob and legija know him so well. Will be fun to watch.
