DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016EnVyUs eliminate FaZe
EnVyUs knocked out FaZe as the Frenchmen won Cache 16-12 in the elimination match of Group D at DreamHack Masters Malmö.
The action in Malmö resumed with the last elimination match as Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey went up against his former team Envy. Earlier in the tournament Envy got upset by Tempo Storm while FaZe was defeated by Virtus.pro.
The clash on Cache started with Håvard "rain" Nygaard getting the opening kill towards the A-site and although Envy planted the bomb, FaZe retook the A-site and got off to a good CT-side start. Envy lost the eco rounds but the bomb plant assured a good buy for them in the first weapon round.
The first weapon round, which opened up with Ricardo "fox" Pacheco's aggressive AWP-kill, went the way of Envy but FaZe answered right back (4-1). Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's triple-kill in an after-plant situation gave Envy their second round as they trailed 2-6.
kioShiMa played the devil with EnVyUs
FaZe only had a single weapon in the following round but were able to deny Envy, resetting their economy once again (7-2). Envy were able to get four more rounds before the half ended and FaZe led 9-6 at halftime.
kennyS got a quad-kill in the pistol round to win the round for his team and the Frenchmen secured the subsequent round. An early weapon round buy did not work for FaZe as Envy picked up the third round of the half as well (9-9).
kioShiMa clutched a 1v2 and got a quad-kill and had another great clutch, this time a 1v3, to tie it at 11-11. FaZe got the lead but it didn't take long for Envy to answer back as Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer clutched to tie it and the Frenchmen later took the lead (13-12). Envy finished off the match 16-12.
