GODSENT defeat mouz at DH Malmö

DreamHack Masters Malmö continued with MOUZ taking on GODSENT. MOUZ finished Group A in the first place after beating Liquid and Luminosity while GODSENT eliminated G2 and CLG to arrive at the quarter-finals.

MOUZ started on the CT-side of Cache and had a good start as they won the pistol round. The first weapon round also went MOUZ' way and the chaos ensued in the sixth one as GODSENT took the A-site but the bomb planter burned because of a molotov which gave mouz their sixth round (6-0).

GODSENT secured their first round on the A-site and Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson got a quad-kill in the following round to make it 6-2. Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong's lurk play resulted in a round victory for the German team but GODSENT took the last two rounds of the half (8-7).

Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač had a quad-kill with his Deagle in the pistol round to help his team get their ninth round and the German team went on to secure the first weapon round as well. Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter picked up the entry kill and the triple to attain the 21st round as GODSENT trailed 7-14. MOUZ won the map without dropping a single round on their T-half and the final score was 16-7.

Inferno, which was picked by GODSENT, kicked off with MOUZ' pistol round victory on the T-side as Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget got a triple-kill. After winning the anti-eco rounds MOUZ extended their lead to 4-0 after earning the first weapon round with Denis "⁠denis⁠" Howell's double entry.

It finally worked out for the Swedes in the fifth round although they only had a MAG-7 and an M4A1-S (4-1). The CT-sided GODSENT rushed from all sides to get their third round (3-5). The seven round streak of GODSENT ended a round before the halftime as they led 8-6. denis got two entry kills and a quad-kill in the last round of the half and MOUZ managed to finish the half with seven rounds.

Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson showed up with two entry kills of his own and GODSENT secured the pistol round (9-7). The fourth round was won by the German team and they secured one more before losing an anti-eco (12-9). twist's 1v2 pretty much closed the deal as GODSENT were in front with a 14-9 score. The Swedes won the map 16-10.

The last map was Mirage and the CT-sided mousesports grabbed yet another pistol round in the series. The German team lost the third round to their opponent's Deagles but won the fourth one. GODSENT exerted their T-side dominance after this point and were leading 7-4 but they crumbled in a couple of after plant situations including a 4v2 in the 13th round. The Swedish team led 8-7 at halftime.

Unsuprisingly, the trend lived on and NiKo's team won the pistol and the subsequent two rounds, leading 10-8. A quick A-site execute by mouz secured the another round for the German team but GODSENT answered with three rounds of their own to take tie it at 11-11. Spiidi & NiKo clutched a 2v4 to take back the lead. GODSENT won the match 16-13 and the series 2-1 as Mathias "⁠pauf⁠" Köhler clutched a 1v2 in the last round.
