dignitas win EU Minor over HellRaisers

With both teams having already secured their spots to the ESL One Cologne 2016 Main Qualifier via the upper bracket and consolidation finals, Dignitas and HellRaisers went into the grand final of the DreamHack Regional Minor Championship at DreamHack Tours to fight over a bigger share of the prize purse, better seeding at the Cologne qualifier, and prestige.

HellRaisers continued playing a phenomenal Dust2 (as the team have been doing throughout the tournament) as their map pick and, following a 9-6 half that went in dignitas' favour, it was Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný & co. who continued picking up CT rounds to close the map 16-13 for the Ukrainian-Slovakian-Czech team.

The second map was dignitas' pick, Mirage, and here was where the Danish-Norwegian team were clearly the better team as all five of the dignitas players played a role in outmatching HellRaisers on both halves, with the map going 16-8 to dignitas.

The decider map was thus up next (Overpass) and the dynamic duo of Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke and Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye played a large part in dignitas' high-powered 11-4 T side on the first half of the map.

Despite a second pistolround that saw Vladyslav "⁠bondik⁠" Nechyporchuk and his team get their way (as well as converting two anti-eco's into round wins), HellRaisers advance was ultimately stopped there and dignitas closed out the map with a rock-solid defense 16-7.
