Peter "dupreeh" Rothmann announced via Twitter that he'll miss the rest of ESL One Cologne due to health reasons.

Astralis player Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen announced on his Twitter that he'll have to undergo surgery as soon as possible because of a potential appendix infection.

In a Facebook post by Astralis the team announced that the Danish player will be moved to another hospital tonight and will go into surgery.

dupreeh to miss the remaining matches at the Major

Astralis also announced they will be using Danny "⁠zonic⁠" Sørensen in their match against Dignitas as the Major rules allow a replacement if a player is ill or injured.

Thats it - I'm done at this major and I will undergo surgery as soon as possible due to an appendix infection. I'm heartbroken😥💔 .. Fuck

Just unlucky. Theres no particular reason for this happening. I had this same surgery roughly 3 weeks ago. As a stomach surgery it's from the easiest end, but still theres noway I could start training discgolf yet even tho its been 3 weeks. Tho from gaming you need only like a week break.

Atleast I topfragged MM global 4 days after surgery when I still had 2 times higher mouse sens, because fast movements with my normal sens would've hurt my stomach :D Yeah I know its not the same thing as pro CS and I approve your point. Its also good to take a good time off from all kinds of things just to not risk anything. I probably still have to keep around 2 weeks break from discgolf, which really sucks for me. Thought I'd be throwing 4 weeks after surgery but that ain't happening.

I had my appendictis @ 13.th of may and ill have to wait the 3 months until i can do sports again(likely because dirt jumping is not even a safe sport with 100% physical conditions eventhough i was playing table tennis from week two :D(probably will start 3weeks from now cause next week they remove a cysta from my mouth :~) ) but i can confirm, if you walk A lot after the surgery and get used to the current state of your body, you can do well in cs after like 1-2 weeks. Sadly i had an 8 ccm heamatoma under my skin after the surgery and they kept me in the hospital for 10 days because they went under my scar 2 times everyday with a fuckin woodstick with some fluffy thing attached to it.. :D

Did they do open surgery instead of endoscopy or why 3 months? :O With endoscopy they only cut 3 small cuts that probably wont even leave much of visible scars on my skin. 2 wounds were stiched like perfectly.

Forstår ikke hvorfor der er så mange der går efter Karrigan.. Han spillede en god kamp mod Dignitas på Overpass. Og op til Majoren, har han jo skiftet sine pladser ud med Kjaerbye, så altså Kjaerbye har fået hans pladser, fordi de havde samme pladser før, på hver sit hold. Så Karrigan har haft meget at se til, stadig skulle være IGL og tilpasse Kjaerbye på det nye hold...

no, not really. Unless his appendix actually ruptures he should be fine in a few days and the surgery itself is probably the easiest one of all abdominal surgeries. However, if it ruptures it's another story as there can be potentially life-threatening complications afterwards. Still, the probability of that is low-ish and he should be fine if under proper care. In any case recovering after surgery is nothing pleasant, though. I survived one of the worse cases (with a rupture and peritonitis). Does redefine the word 'painful' for you a bit :).
