Bravado qualify for ESEA GC LAN

Bravado have won the ESEA Open Season 22 South Africa playoffs and have secured their spot in the $50,000 Global Challenge Finals.

The ESEA Season 22 Global Challenge Finals will offer up $50,000 in prize money for eight teams from regions around the world, with Europe and North America each receiving two spots through their Premier division playoffs and the four remaining regions a spot apiece through their Open division playoffs.

With the action taking place from August 27-28 at ESL's studio in Katowice, Poland (the same location for the Cologne Major qualifier), both Europe and North America have seen their respective two teams already advance to the Global Challenge Finals. Next up was the South Africa ESEA Open Season 22 playoffs, the bracket of which can be seen here.

Bravado will fly to Katowice, Poland at the end of August

The grand final, which would decide which South African team would attend the Global Challenge LAN in Poland, was ultimately between the first and second seeded teams of the playoffs, with Bravado having generally had a smooth side of the bracket (carboN struggled against Damage Control in the semifinals).

And the final itself was generally one-sided as Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek, Ruan "ELUSIVE" van Wyk, & co. powered through carboN 16-7 on Mirage and 16-12 on Cache to secure their spot at the Global Challenge LAN.

However, the Global Challenge Finals clash with WESG Africa and Middle East regional finals, for which Bravado qualified earlier this week.

Bravado are also facing trouble with obtaining visas for Poland. If they manage to resolve the issues, they will skip the WESG regional finals, Roberto "blackpoisoN" Dall'Occo has confirmed to HLTV.org.

The three remaining regional ESEA Open tournaments have all reached their respective finals, and in the next twenty four hours you will see which team qualifies for the ESEA Global Challenge LAN from the Oceania, Asia, and Brazil regions.
