Relyks parts ways with Selfless

Skyler 'Relyks' Weaver is no longer part of Selfless Gaming's active lineup, the organisation has announced.

In mid-August, American team Selfless already took part in a roster change ahead of the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 4, as the team brought on board Vincent "⁠Brehze⁠" Cayonte and Matthew "⁠no_one⁠" Congdon from Kaliber and bid adieu to Michael "⁠MAiNLiNE⁠" Jaber.

At the same time, Selfless also brought in the relatively lesser known Jake "⁠kaboose⁠" McDonald as a backup player. Following these changes, Selfless displayed a rocky start as the team went 0-4 in the ESL Pro League and lost best-of-three matches against NRG and Luminosity in the SL i-League S2 Americas qualifier.


Relyks is out of Selfless, and possibly on his way to a new home

A newsletter sent out today by team owner and coach Steve "⁠Ryu⁠" Rattacasa has now made it clear that the Selfless lineup going forward will feature kaboose as a starting player and that Skyler "⁠Relyks⁠" Weaver (who until now has been the longest lasting member of the team's core) has stepped down from the team.

Stating that this lineup will be the lineup for Selfless in future ESL Pro League games and at the upcoming $100,000 Northern Arena, Ryu also spoke further at length about the team:

"I will outline more public news at some point in this week explaining the roster change, but at this time, expect to see this lineup for our upcoming matches.

"To those of you who have stayed loyal, despite the roster changes to the CS:GO team, I offer you my sincere thanks. You guys make what we do possible, and while our...[other teams] have all remained stable and improving, our CS:GO team has had a bit of a bumpy path."

Relyks's cryptic Tweet following this announcement and online speculation both suggest that the player is on his way to a new North American team, with a likely candidate being TSM although no further information has been announced.
