Heroic edge Astralis in Group C

Heroic edged Astralis in the initial round of Group C with a 16-13 victory on Train, securing a place in the winners' match against TyLoo which will take place shortly.

The Danish derby took place on Train, with HEROIC sending a strong message to start it off, securing five straight rounds as CT after Andreas "MODDII" Fridh won a 1v2 in the pistol round.

Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye's quad-kill stopped the streak, but Astralis' economy got reset right afterwards, costing them three more rounds. Towards the end of the half, Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad picked up the pace, winning four more rounds out of the six remaining for 5-10 at halftime.

Heroic push on to the winners' match on the back of valde's performance

A convincing pistol round going Astralis' way closed the sizable gap to a single round when they also bested HEROIC in the first gunround. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's team got the next three however, pushing themselves to 14-9.

karrigan and Nicolai "device" Reedtz helped avoid match point with three and four kills in two separate rounds and HEROIC eventually found themselves on low money at 14-13, taking a timeout. They decided to go for a quasi-buy and a quick execute towards A, earning the match point and a round against a poor buy, as HEROIC took a 16-13 win.

So, a player can't just burst into the scene? Going by that logic we would just be stuck with the same players shuffling around on and on...

Expected, the moment cajunb left astralis, their downfall started, Heroic needs to work on some thinks but they have a thing that Astralis never had - chemistry

you do know that immortals played bad teams the whole event barely passing echo fox and then somehow they just played out of their minds and still barely beat c9.

you don't need to show your full potential when the games are under control ;) this is called STRATEGY, my friend. Stewie2k is way too good, Cloud9 is lucky to have such an amazing talent. he could easily be in a tier1 team.

thats a stupid excuse for doing bad against worse NA teams, and barely beating c9 with "strategy" I could argue that c9 used this "strategy" so they would do better in SL i-league u 3rd world peasant

MODDII and Valde are becoming a pretty scary duo to play agonist at the moment. Both seem to be consistent and have hit top form at the perfect time.
