Cloud9 run over FlipSid3 at DH

Cloud9 move on to the winners match of Group B after defeating FlipSid3 16-4 on Train.

Cloud9 started the match firing on all cylinders, taking round after round on their Terrorist side while limiting FlipSid3's economy. The Ukranian side was unable to get the opening picks and was getting run over on the defense on both A and B.

FlipSid3 tried to adapt to the situation with a double AWP setup, but little changed as Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert's side managed to get to a 9-0 lead early in the match, using a fast A execute to counter the two snipers in a key round.

Yegor "markeloff" Markelov finally managed to get his side an entry kill in round 10 and that allowed FlipSid3 to get their first round on the board. In the following round, it was once again markeloff, this time combined with Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin to secure a 2v2 on the A site.

Just when things started to swing in FlipSid3's favor Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham managed a 2v1 clutch on the B site to reset Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's troops once again, setting up Cloud9 for a 12-3 half time score.

n0thing's Cloud9 managed another easy victory over FlipSid3

After the switch, Timothy "autimatic" Ta managed a 2v1 clutch in the pistol round to set his side up for a good second half while n0thing's last second defuse put the last nail in FlipSid3's coffin.

Bad job blade. Even though you dont have any top level players you should get more ct rounds playing lines against c9 by just being disciplined

I mean they only have beat c9 on one map ever. C9 has always been a better team. Even old CLG 2-0'd then twice. F3 has never been very good. They have just had some upset games.

I'd say oblivious morons who care only about HLTV ratings and completely ignore the playstyle of a player and the results of the match are much worse than c9 fanboys

what? you know shrouds playstyle is being a pugstar right? he's supposed to be a fragger, but he can't because it doesn't work against non shit tier teams. so what's his playstyle then? being passive? yeah that's totally true when he's playing online right? does he change his style suddenly when he's on lan? LOL. and HLTV rankings are a lot more accurate than your own personal opinions, saying it doesn't matter is delusional.

hltv.org/?pageid=173&statsfilter=2051&pl.. so the only time he wasn't the worst on his team on lan was vs bad NA teams in 2015 summer period. and apparently 2016 doesn't count as history, good to know.

If you originally said "its not like he's been the worst player on his team on lan in 2016" then you could potentially have a valid point, however that's far different saying he's historically been the worst

because overall rating takes online and lan results into account which gives shroud a higher rating than everyone else because of his bloated online stats. all of his online stats in 2014-2016 were above 1.10, whilst his lan on 2 separate years was below 1.01, this is literally the definition of an onliner, proving my point. you said "Unfortunately that has 0 relevance to the statement of "[shroud] has a history of being the worst player on his team on lan" i gave you the statistic of 2 separate stats in 2 separate years which showed he was clearly the worst rated player on lan than his entire team.

You realize you can select overall rating on LANs only, right?

again it would combine a prominent year (2015) with the other 2 years which only bloats rating.
2016-09-16 22:37

And why exactly do you think selective terms are more important than the form as a whole?
2016-09-16 22:38

if a player sucked for 5 years and had one year where he played good it would make as if he's been playing decently across every year rather than having a honeymood period. and if we're talking historically it has to be selective because it shows you how they were performing in that year alone.
2016-09-16 22:45

If you group it together by saying the word historically then you have to include everything, not just the categories that suit your claims while excluding the rest
2016-09-16 22:46

well no, for example x = 0.70 0.70 1.20 0.70 y = 1.05 1.05 1.05 1.05 you can see x has been bad every other year and one prominent year, whilst y has been consistent throughout. historically, y is better than x because he had the better rating across all years, whilst x only has boosted "overall stats" because of his single great year, this is the same with shroud, he has had 2 below average ratings and only 1 above average rating which was the "honeymoon" era. so historically, he IS the worst.

On average, shroud is better than players on C9 On average, x is much worse than y The difference is that shroud was only slightly worse than the rest on his poor years, whereas x has an extremely significant difference
