mouz defeat GODSENT at Gfinity
Mousesports defeated GODSENT 3-1 at the Gfinity CS:GO Invitational (Cache 11-16, Mirage 16-5, Dust2 19-17, Overpass 16-2) and will go on to play EnVyUs in the grand final tomorrow.
The best-of-five showdown in Birmingham, UK started with Cache, MOUZ's map pick. GODSENT managed to win the first pistol round and grab a 3-0 lead, but the Nikola "NiKo" Kovač-powered team put up strong gun rounds to go up 9-5 as terrorists.
GODSENT took the last round of the half to get up to six CT rounds, before tying the match 9-9 after the Terrorist side pistol and following ecos.
On their CT side, MOUZ were struggling to put up rounds - with their newest addition Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný going completely missing not helping the matter. Ultimately, they only managed to get two rounds in the second half and GODSENT completed the comeback to finish the map 16-11.

Mousesports had a good LAN debut with oskar
On the second map, Mirage, MOUZ once again had a good start on the Terrorist side. After a 5-0 lead, Markus "pronax" Wallsten's team managed to get one on the board, but the Bosnian superstar NiKo was causing too many problems to the A site defense of the Swedes for them to string a few rounds together.
After a 12-3 lead and a successful pistol round for MOUZ, it was just a matter of time before the match was closed out. It was 16-5 in the end, tying the series 1-1 before moving over to Dust2.
MOUZ got their first CT start of the series on Dust, but the Terrorists were once again in control early on, with only the pistol rounds and a couple of eco's going in favour of the European team.
It took some good play by the unlikely duo of Timo "Spiidi" Richter and Denis "denis" Howell to pull the team back to a 7-8 half, with the close scores continuing in the second half as well.

GODSENT have not shown much since the Swedish shuffle
MOUZ managed to get to a 14-11 lead but Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Jesper "JW" Wecksell were keeping their team alive on the third map of the series, allowing them to equalise the score at 14-14 and secure the overtime. In the end, Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and oskar helped their team close out the match 19-17 to put themselves in the lead.
The series continued with its T-side meta even on Overpass, a map renowned for it's CT side bias. GODSENT had some solid rounds and got into good positions to win them, but were unable to close out the 2v2's and 3v3's and build an economy. A great example of the Swedes' problems was round 10, in which chrisJ managed to clutch out a 1v3 on the A-site to make it 8-2.
After a crushing 13-2 half, the map was quickly closed out by MOUZ - 16-2 to make it 3-1 for the series.
