Astralis defeat G2 for their first win

Astralis managed to come back from an 5-13 deficit to win their first match of the day over G2 (16-13 Dust2).

The Danes, who haven't been impressive since adding Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye to the roster, started positively by winning the Terrorist pistol - but the were promptly reset by a Cédric "⁠RpK⁠" Guipouy 5-7 quad kill from Goose in the second round.

Astralis got into good positions in the following buy rounds, but were unable to close out the 2v5 and 3v5 advantages on the B site - with Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom and Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro going huge for their team, allowing them a round advantage early in the game.

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's team managed to get a few round on the board and force G2 to have a low buy for the last round of the half - but Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon and co. still managed to seal the deal to make it 10-5 before the pause.

Karrigan had a good read over shox in the second half

Switching to their stronger side after the break, the Frenchmen got the pistol and seemed to be in the driving seat to close out the match, but karrigan didn't let his team go out without puting up a fight.

When the guns rolled in, the Danish tactician managed to outmanuver and outplay shox's G2, getting round after round. In the end, the Danes managed to complete the comeback from 5-13 to 16-13 to get their first win of the tournament.

Great victory for Astralis. It was looking quite bad at one point, but they kept their heads cool and took it in the long run. Well played! Looking forward to see more.
